#243932 The Controversial Topic That Is The £500 Jackpots

Posted by chasnbons on 28 November 2012 - 09:16 PM in Real Fruit Machines

Just thought I would give me experiences/views.

As I am sure alot of members would agree who have lost 1000's on 500 jackpots (like me) over the years.

I think the moral of the story or the best advice to give is........ walk in with £20-£100 and if you win you win

and if you lose you lose. DONT CHASE IT.

I lost over £1000 in less than 3-4 hours on many B3's in the past and have learnt huge lessons about how much to put it and when to walk away.

As members have already said, they may show 90-92% payout, but 90-92% of what?

I put £1500 into a Slotto many years ago and didn't get anything over £50 in a go, nevermind £500!

Which just shows how RANDOM they are.

Go in with a few quid, try your luck (which I do now) and WALK AWAY.

At the end of the day the machines will always win.

This is VERY good advice.... if only I could take notice of it!

in the bookies I used to just ask staff I was friendly with what the figures on the machines where, I can tell you whether they had paid out all day and where showing a loss or a few big B2 games players had been in and done their bollocks, meaning the machine where showing £1000s profit makes no difference what so ever.

That's what I meant, albeit I probably didn't explain it well.

So like I said it's pure luck, if the machine's ready to pay then it will, if not it won't.

But if you know for certain that a machine's had 10k put in it, you 'might' have a 'slightly' better chance of winning something..... but don't bank on it.

I still have my own B3 and there honestly doesn't seem to be any logic to them (apart from it EVENTUALLY getting to the correct percentage)

Mine is set on 92% and can go thousands before a JP getting it's payout down to about 74% on one occasion, but then it will sometimes do 3 JP's in quick succession taking it's percentage to 120% or above.

In the wild unless you have sat and watched a machine for days, you have no way of knowing how much has gone in it or been taken out so I suppose it's just the luck of the draw.

I agree with Ben though, I don't always trust what I see on youtube as being a true refelection of what has ACTUALLY happened, after all anyone can say they have only put a tenner in etc etc when in actual fact it's more like a few hundred

This has a W I D E span moneywise for me.

The best though was in Gala Rhyl last year, went in, got wizz board, went and got a pint and on way back to the table put 3 pound coins in Cashino, 2nd press = 3 roulette wheels = JACKPOT..... result :)

You have to download their stock list from here

http://www.jnc-sales.../stock-list.htm

But they don't have pics of any actual machine that's for sale, I suppose you could either go and have a look or get someone who lives in Bristol to go for you and maybe take a cpl of pics of a machine that you might want.

I've spoken to them on the phone a few times and can say that Mike Smith and Rod Hagglett have always been very helpful

There's a cpl on ebay but only seem to have one game installed.

The other games are easy to add and are available on the Repro. I got a Cashino which I installed all the games on, and have now also nearly got all the relevant cards and chips to play the all in 'real cash' mode, so basically I can play all but 2 games like you would in an arcade.

See links below

This is from a member in here I think ^^^

I suppose it will all depend on where you are and whether you want to collect or have it delivered, as this all adds to the cost

The MPU Mecca, see link http://www.fruitemu.co.uk/ib/ it's a site similar to this, but more based around REAL machines

Yes it's still worth posting the video here, someone here might have had the same or similar problem

A bit too far to pop round and have a look at it for you then mate.

Make yourself a member over at the Mecca, there's more people over there who might be able to throw some light on it for you, plus maybe someone close enough to have a look at it.

Check that all 3 plugs in pic are pushe home properly, especially the one on the right as it's this one that supplies power eyc to the mech.

Also follow the wires from the plug back to the main board and make sure that the plug on the other end is on properly as well.

Make sure that it's on the pins on board and mech correctly as it's easy to get them one pin out.

Like Taylor says, if all plugs are connected correctly then it might just be a case of the mech being dirty.

I use a lint free cloth (a microfibre one does mine just fine) and I spray a little Mr Muscle glass cleaner on it (or a cheaper version) and just simply rub all the grease and grime off the inside of the reject flap.

If all this fails, check that the metal piece under the cover where the routing plug goes in is still attached, you need to unscrew the screw you can see in the middle of your pic to get to it, Give it a clean in same way described above while you're at it.

If still no joy after that, there's always the chance that the mech is knackered.

Let us know how you get on mate.

If you mean the coins just come straight back into the coin tray, no credits added etc, is the plug in correctly at both ends?

What mech is it?

Hey :)

Firstly yes your right its not hoppers its tubes, there are 3 spring loaded switches (one on each tube)... so I just need to fasten them back making a permanent contact?

Yes so the machine thinks there's more coins in than there actually is

The black wires come and go back to the coin mech with 4 wires. Ill take a look at the manual and see what I can come up with :)

Yes I can see now that it doubles back on itself (my fault for not looking closely enough. Check to make sure the routing plug is in correctly (black plug the joined wires go into) it's easier to make sure if you take the sorter off, if it is, then maybe either the bare wires are touching or they aren't in the correct holes in the plug, to divert the coins where they need to go.

Oops, forgot to change font colour back :err:

Is it a Mars ME126?

If so (actually whatever it is, it looks very ropey). where does the black wire go, that looks like it's going back towards the top of it?

There should just be wires (the joined ones, which look like they need replacing tbh) with each end fastened into the routing plug.

This tells the mech where to send the coins ie hopper, tubes cashbox etc.

You'll need to work out which coin you want to go where and then wire the plug accordingly.

This might be useful to you

As for refilling, you can either refill manually with refill key turned, or there might be a 'hopper topup' switch, presuming it has a hopper seeing as you said hoppers, or if it's tubes you could just stick correct coins in correct tubes enough to activate the tube level switch which is fastened towards the lower end of each tube, or just move the sensor so that it's permanently activated.

Hope some of this helps you

Sorry forgot to say, whatever you decide to do with the routing plug, some electrical tape round each seperate wire to cover the joins, wouldn't go amiss

#242776 Disabling Alarm On Spin On It Impulse Epoch Machine

Posted by chasnbons on 06 November 2012 - 08:30 AM in Real Fruit Machines

I agree with Taylor, so are you certain that it's an on off alarm and not the battery?

Does it give any alarm code?

If it's the battery, each time you turn the machine off it will clear the ram and reset everything, giving an alarm in the process so it might be a good idea to check that the battery is ok.

If I'm 'preaching to the converted' then I'm sorry, but it's best to check the simple/obvious things 1st, plus it will give you peace of mind that the battery hasn't started to leak.

Posted by chasnbons on 05 November 2012 - 09:55 PM in Real Fruit Machines

follow the wires from the speaker, back to the sound board area, and you will find it connected to the board..... just unplug the molex plug from the board.

That's what I said Mark :err:

At the moment there are 2 blak wires going to the same point a yellow wire beside it and then there is a thicker grey wire that looks like I can just unscrew it. Which one would it be as I have no idea. Will the machine music and sound effects still work?

If you disconnect the speaker, then there will be no sound at all, probs best to try and sort what's causing the alarm in the 1st place.

More info as to what happens and when, would be good.

Either pull a wire off the speaker (probably has spade connectors on the ends) or follow wires back to the board and pull the plug off...... with machine switched OFF!

Here's a cpl of settings charts which might help you suss it out, but bear in mind that not ALL settings will work on ALL machines

With the little bit of information you have given, I'd say you are trying to set it to something the machine can't accept.

More information would be good, like what the machine is, which tech etc etc.

Does everything work ok when you put the dil switches back to what they were origionally?

Do you have the correct settings chart for the adjustable key you are using?

Please bear in mind that when you have a problem, the more information you can supply, the better chance you have of getting the correct help to get things sorted :)
