Just remember I have finished, you need to keep posting, not necessarily every five minutes but now and again too show your appreciation for the site and it's contents.

It's the zero poster tag to stop people just taking - you'll need to post in the introduction and then I remove the tag and done - I suspect that's the problem.

Ironically it's nice to see something posted here rather than there, albeit it's about not posting over there, if you understand. I think it makes sense.

To be fair, Reg has done a great job over at Desertisland, also has given a home for Dxcellent.

I think Fruit Emu's problems began when the site was not updating, and people migrated to Reg's site, its also a smaller site, a bit like fruit forums used to be, so a lot more  fruit machine emulation talk from dedicated fans.

I agree to an extent about Fruit-Emu site issues, but we all knew why that was, and also, to a degree, why it wasn’t fixed...

But without Fruit-Emu a vast and invaluable wealth of FME itself would be lost... and with only smaller forums like DADs and DIF (you can’t really include the Mecca anymore), FME would soon die a death.

For all it’s troubles, woes and past misfortunes... Fruit Emu is without doubt the most reliable, needed and layout-rich resources site that MFME and FME itself could ever rely of hope for.

Welcome to the world

Fruit Emu is a needed site, I totally agree. The problem is that it is slowly but surely dying.

DIF seems to be currently leading the way at this time. I think another nail in the coffin came by the way of MFME not being hosted here any longer. Dxcellent is hosted over there......

Obviously it is a certainty that member numbers will have swelled there also.

As Stardust said the Mecca these days seems predominantly for machine restoration and preservation.

In my eyes fruit-emu will be here for a long time.
As for the hosting of mfme, yes it's upto Wizard where he uploaded it to but I do feel there should be a link set up to the relivent hosting site via the emulator download section on here, that'll stop the many questions
" where's mfme6.1 etc".
The problem with this site is it needs to reinvent itself.
Many times I've stated we need a proper designated area for resources for layout creation, not just for myself as some may think, but for newbie wannabe creators to find the basics needed.
The gallery flyer sections need updating.
Download section needs updating to accommodate mfme6.1+
Simple things that can be done but are thrown back in your face for simply mentioning it!
