Hi guys. Got my new machines in, two crazy chairs.. But I have a little problem with one of them.
The 7 seg display on four numbers are not displaying. I've tried changing the wiring over, so basically displaying the 0 where the 7 should be on the £70 area and that works fine.. So the 7 seg is working. I have also tried a different mux board (one i know is 100% working) and same problem, which makes me believe it is either a data wire issue or a power wire issue.
I have tried wiggling the connections, tracing the wires and moving all parts of the wiring connecting from the scorp board to the 7 segs and never seen a flicker from any of the numbers. I've also tried a second light/button board.. And still no joy.. These 7 segs just don't want to light.. Do you guys think it is a wiring fault or a CPU fault.. Spose I could swap the boards over. :S
Do you guys know how the wiring works in this kind of 7 seg?? Eg whether its a chain of wires or 24 different wiring circuits.

From the look of that picture it's probably a hacked ROM, a.k.a. DOND Crazy Chair - One Box Game :D

... as for technical help, I haven't got a clue on this one. Let us know when you work it out though :D

Yeh it was the board.. You could actually see that some of the chips leading directly to the led output were bent and about 3 or 4 were badly bend and you could see the leg wasn't connecting. Now after changing the board and the mux board I now have a scrambled set of box's with 66. And all sorts of other weird shapes where the numbers should be. I know I need a new board but I know the mux is at fault here as when I put this mux in my other crazy chair, the character were the same eg 66. And other crazy symbols lol.
So I need a new board and a new mux.. Damn,
Lol.. Might make one of these out of this machine lol.

If you need a Scorpion 5 mainboard I have one you could have for £25 inc postage, fitted a new battery a couple of months back but not used since. No leakage or anything. Should be working fine (was in a video cabinet machine), but if you did have any probs I'd refund you. I've got no use for it, all my machines are Scorpion 4 now! :)

Hi Ben. Unfortunately I need a scorp 4 board. The board I can get hold off no problem, just a waiting game, it's the led output board I'm worried about getting hold of. :(
