Hello everyone, I got some really bad news today, but I wont go into it.

After a good thought I have decided to sell my machine to get some money to take me and my partner on holiday just in case the worst happens.

I have listed it on ebay for £3,000 now I know I wont get that lol but I wanted to do that so people could email me with serious offers, as I dont know how much it is worth and didnt want it going for cheap in a auction.

For people who dont know what it is, it is a elvis sit down video based b3 machine.

Its has 11 games installed onto it.

all the Elvises

Rainbow riches both £500 and £35

Cashino £500

Grand casino £500

Monty python and the holy grail £500

these all play in demo and real mode.

It seems to have a good fault where it allows any bpak game file to be installed from any usb stick and also allows the games play for real.

If some members could advise me of how much would be a good price that would be great, also if anyone is interested then please email me with a serious offer.

Well as you only paid £205 for it -- THE ITEM YOU WON ON EBAY

And the other games you placed onto it were FREE downloads from another member on here, I think £3000 is way too overpriced. I would say a price of around £250 would be more than enough

Another went for £185 -- ELVIS FOR £185

I can't move it. I suggest you post it in the classifieds with an actual picture of the machine rather than the screen. You also need to make your images quite a bit smaller as they take ages to load and are then almost unviewable (20Mb for 10 pictures!).

If you notice I put a buy it now price of £1.99 as I didnt want to make money, but got about 10p after all costs and then I noticed people selling them for £1 so I stopped selling them as it was only to show people what was out there, and if you dont believe me just look at the last time they was listed!

Like iv said before the £3,000 buy it now price is not the price im after it was just so people could send me offers! It does not matter what I brought it for, how do people make money in the world they certainly wouldnt if they sold everything for the price they brought it for.

Like many people have said the games shouldnt even be able to play in real cash mode so that would say there is something wrong in a good way!! therefore making it worth more then most of the machines out there.

It doesnt matter if the games come from a public domain they still play in real cash mode, so whats the difference in getting it here or barcrest, ow yea thats right saving shit loads of money.

People on here are so quick the criticize about something without actually knowing the full facts of what they are talking about. just like "£3,000 cheeky c***" um if you read some of the post you would have realised that, that wasnt the actual price I wanted for it, just mealy a price to stop a action sale so I could get offers, as everyone knows something some times is worth what they are willing to pay for it, therefore I might get a good offer!!!

Anyways enough of my rant now, it doesnt matter anyhow as im not going to be around for a long time due to reasons I wont go into.

But why would people want to make you an offer when you are asking £3000 ?
All you are doing is making people laugh at the price... and will expect you will want a price around the £3000 ...

They will see the bloke you got yours off is selling 2 units for £395 each - and then download the games from here and do as you did with yours and add them to the hard drive.

REGARDING EBAY DISCS...

LISTING FEE on a BUY IT NOW = 40p (regardless of number of items listed on the listing)
40p divide by the 18 you sold = 2p (give or take a few 0.002p)

FINAL FINAL FEE on £1.99 = 20p
PAYPAL FEE on £1.99 = 27p (normal account) or 15p (Micropayment account)
STAMP = 32p (2nd Class) or 41p (1st Class)
DVD = 15p (Although you can get Bulkpaq for as low as 7p each)

TOTAL = £1.05 (Normal Paypal account + 1st Class)
TOTAL = 84p (Micropayment account + 2nd Class)

So not sure how you reckon you only made 10p

with regards to the discs I realised I was making a small profit, so I stop selling them as you will see, as I have not listed them after that one listing. I never check the paypal account as its not mine and after they was all sold I was told by the person who's paypal it was that there was only a little bit in there, so I assumed the amount.

With regards to the fruit machine, The reason for the £3,000 was cus I didnt know how much people would be willing to pay for it, as it does something that most of the video based machines don't do and that is allow the games to be played in real cash mode. I stated that in the listing saying all I was after was offers regardless of the amount of the offer.

I have changed the price to £1,500 and clarified that its not what I want for it, just merely so I can get some offers so I know what sort of price I could get for it!! It doesn't matter how much I paid for it, if someone is willing to pay the price then happy days.

The bloke who has them listed on ebay for £395 needs to remove them as I know he has sold them all, he told me himself as I wanted one for my mate.

This is not me crying or looking for sympathy as I didnt want to say anything but the reason im selling it (cus trust me I dont want to) is because I got told on my birthday that I have cancer. So im trying to get some money to take me and my partner away for a few weeks to take my mind off it all.

There seems to be a lot of watchers on the listing but im not stupid and realise that 99% of them will be people from here keeping an eye on it to see how much it goes for!

Sorry about the discs I do agree with you on that hence why I stopped selling them. as it was never for profit in the beginning, and to be honest it not worth the time and effort lol.

Duplu I cant seem to remove the this topic or move it, as there is not an option for this. If it works like any other forum then I assume that only mods or admins have the power to do that.

one more thing, if everybody now seems to say that all the video based machines can install any game and play why was this not mentioned before and people only saying that it could not be done, cus if I was like everyone who thought it couldnt be done before I discovered i could load games onto it and them play for real play then I would be willing to pay more for the machine as it would seem to be very different from other machines. But hay that must just be me, If I never told everyone that it did work and also work in real play then you would all still be saying it couldnt be done and therefore would be very interested in how I had all the games working. also the bloke who uploaded them has said on his elvis machine they do not play in real mode only demo mode, so how come mine can? that would tell me that not every video based machine can load any game and play them in real cash mode, so therefore making it worth more money as you can just source the games from other places other then Barcrest themselves.

I just find it mad that cus now I have decided to sell it and some kind member gave me the games for free you all think that its not worth more because the extra games loaded on there was gained for free.

take this for a situation,

two same machines one has just elvise's on it and the other has many more other popular games on it, would you expect them to be the same price, this is how simple it comes down to.

Im not having a go but I hate the fact that everyone seems to be going on at me about the price I paid and what I want when it clearly is worth more now it has them extra games on there regardless the fact that I got them for free.

The bloke who uploaded them for me has asked for a copy of my hardrive to put into his to see if its the hardrive or the machine that allows it to play in real cash mode, which I will send it to him. Im not a take and not give anything back person, but just from that conversation told me that for some reason the machine I have does something that most other dont do, cus if they did they would of work on his elvis as well.

Anyways enough of me defended myself and my choice for asking a higher price then I paid for it. If you still cant understand then I give up, but please air your opinion as you always do. so I can see what people think.

I know you never mentioned that for the 'sympathy vote' or otherwise..however you can understand members being a little bit 'cheesed off' with you.

Youve been a member since March 2007 so surely you know how well Ebayer's are regarded on this site..lets just say that they are not very well thought of...

You've bought something, come on here asking various questions, been given free software to enhance your product then decided to sell it for profit.
That I have no problem with whatsoever, fair play, I take my hat off to you and I'd do the same given half the chance.

But I like to think i'm a fairly intelligent person, and the whole story around this just stinks. I admit I don't believe your bad news but that's the only comment I shall make on it. I think you've intentionally bought the machine to make money, and your constant quest for a valuation on here backs that up, on top of that you've been found to be selling discs which being a member here for 3 years you will know the majority are dead set against.

Now your trying to make out the paypal wasn't yours and there was nothing much left, Why ?? Because you know someone aka ME is gonna pick you up on your listing that states all money made will be given back to the site where you got your Emulations from, So where's your Bronze/Silver/Gold banner then ??

Regarding your ridiculous use of Ebay, why don't you just use it properly like it's supposed to be ?

You've paid X amount for your machine and you want to what ? at least double your money, so put it on, with a high starting bid and a high reserve, why the daft £3000/£1500 price unless you must think it's now worth £1500 or so


Either way I don't begrudge you wanting to make money, I just don't believe half the cock n bull you keep coming out with.

But the main thing that stinks in this whole saga is that you've donated nothing to this site yet gained financially in the past and quite obviously will in the near future.

My comment about Ebay seems to have been mis-understood, I just meant put it on Ebay properly and if it doesn't meet your reserve it doesn't sell. I like others don't understand the logic of putting a high advertising price on it, unless you don't want to sell it through Ebay to avoid charges, if that is so, then just say so.

Why doesn't everyone just quieten down and let him try and get the machine sold? He's already stated the purpose of why the prices it that high so whats the need to piss and moan?

If he's priced it too high but for his reasons, it'll work out later on.
If he's priced it too high and no one touches it, well he's made a mistake but that can be resolved, no need for anyone on the sidelines making out that he's a twat.

As for the cancer, it takes a very bitter and acllous person to make that up, and I as one will not be thinking that he is a liar about the whole issue, IMO it's just not done.

So....Is this thing going to be sold or not......?

All this is getting too way over the top and things are getting missed. me and everyone else seems to be misunderstanding each other.

The whole point of the price was yes cus I didnt want to sell it throught there and all I wanted was offers so I could find the right price for it.

I have given up now tho, all the bombardment about such a small thing.

No one seems to be looking from my point of view and thinking well hay he got the games for free fair play that his machine plays them in real cash mode.

If it was someones else machine then I would expect them to do the same.

I have had a few email messages regarding how I got the games to work so thats just one more thing that make my case a bit stronger.

But enough of all this I wave the white flag and give up.
