I don't know much about the technical aspects of machines... But when operators want to upgrade their machines from £35 to £70, are there many costs incurred? Like what happens, does it cost much to replace the glass graphics, the updated program to take into account the new values?

We are sold upgrade kits direct from bellfruit or barcrest, problem is they only upgraded machines from about late 2008 i think.
The plan was they wanted us to buy new fruits from them.
As well as program updates and decals bellfruit awps needed a hopper upgrade to as the floats grew in size.
This is the main reason £70 awps cost so much to buy still.

Well I was looking on Ebay to buy a new one, and that was one of the main reasons I asked. The difference in price seems to be £400+, however there's a Monopoly Hot Property (£70) on there for £350 but then another from your fine selves at £650 - so either there's something dodgy about the first listing, or the 2nd price is slightly inflated - which I doubt it is.

Remember what ever i buy has VAT put on the price, but i cant sell on ebay then add VAT to the seller.
My price has to reflect the machine and what it owes me.
There are people who can get better deals, maybe that machine made them good profit, or maybe its sold as seen.
The hard part is working out whats a fair price to both partys and ofc not loosing out.
I look at some ebay prices and it stresses me out because as a small company i cant seem to get the buying prices some other bigger companys can.
Lets take that monopoly, that cost me £995+ VAT from a well known awp supplyer about 9 months ago, ive added the note accepter and ofc will sell fully workshoped with 45 days warrenty, so to see another on ebay going for the £300 mark its upsetting in some ways as i would have loved to buy it, site it then sell on at less.
Hope this gives a little info into why some ppl have to sell at a higher price than others, i know your comments were not ment in a bad way i just felt it good to show why this happens.
Best wishes

Oh not at all, if anything I was merely suggesting the one on there for £350 is either bust, nicked or severely damaged considering there is only one machine for sale in his listings. I contacted the seller and he spoke about 'surplus stock', but even so, I'd expect it to sell more than that. If I was to take the plunge and splash out on a new machine, I would probably go for either Advance Leisure or Stemik - but that's only because they seem to have been around for a while.

Both the named companys have great prices as they both buy up stock in larger numbers, hence there better prices.
I know who i would by from out of the two named as i have heard comments about both and quite a few not so good.
Were stuck in an industry dying and its hard to keep money coming though the door so many now turn to ebay to buffer there cash flow.
Without ebay i would have to strip for parts or part-ex in for peanuts.
The £350 monopoly may be 100% ok and was owned for quite some time hence its price, if he had it in a great site it could have made him over 3k so there could be a valid sale at £350.
Anyhow i hope you find the machine your after soon for the right price.
