Martha and the Vandellas (spelling?) with Heatwave.
Used to be in Thomas's basement in Heicester
Edit: That was an ACE, not many 'ripped' samples on them, they used MIDI iirc, to mimic certain songs. For example Circle Line had a bleepy BLOOPy version of '(Doing the) The Lambeth Walk'. Those old m1a Maygays where great for samples though, often not related to the game. As a mate of mine once said whilst playing Eastenders, 'why is it playing Back to the Future music?' which is a fair point. Also being fussy here, but wasn't 'Shocked' by Danii, not Kylie. Lol, getting all pedantic about Stock, Aitken and Waterman here.
Anyway I didn't just do that edit so I could drone on, I wanted to ask something which has been bugging me for many years. M1a Monopoly. First version I can remember in same cab as Sudden Impact, used Simon and Garfunkel (Hazy shade of winter?) as the nudge music and the feature music was 'The Race' by can't remember the artist's name. The later version, in the same cab as early Great Escape etc with tubes, although same game had 'The Race' still, but the nudge music was some fairly poorly 16khz(?) sampled nondescript dance music. Come on people, what was the name of this music? I know not myself.
