im not an expert so excuse the question if it seems a little dumb.... why do the manufacturers do these rebuilds ?i would have gone by the old adage,if it aint broke it dont need fixing...havent seen one of these in the wild,but i dont think id waste any cash in one ...

I think they rebuild these into more modern cost effective tech. They are classics and still a demand for these lo-techs I would imagine.
