What a fantastic video, thanks for sharing mate. Love the armchair video game !!!

Haven't been to Southwold Pier for awhile, there were two arcades, one on the pier and one at the entrance. I remember installing a phone system in the one at the front of the pier many years ago.

Great place to visit, the pier is brilliant, a real seaside town and the home of Adnams Beer.

I really must make a visit soon. Thanks for the info Vecs.

first off, thank you to vecs for sharing the video.

secondly... what a load of shit this stuff is! i mean literally. I went their when i was actually selling REAL redemption machine for one of the big names. I met the arcade owner and he showcased the machines to me. one of them was about flies on dog poo. im mean, what the actual f*ck.

He said the machines barely ticked over (money wise) but thought they were rather iconic so they stayed.

I kid you not, Father Ted's craggy island wouldnt have that crap (remember the episode with the spinning cat on the record player?)

As for ricardo's comments, well - divided we stand on this one. maybe best to get tanked up on Adnams before you even contemplate saying goodbye to a whole one pound coin.

Hi Nails, you forget that it was not many years ago we got electric lighting here in the East of England. I love crap arcades with all the machines badly maintained, most of the lights not working, coin jams and coins dropping through. perhaps someone could emulate this type off machine to make me feel I was back at my local arcades please. (Fag Burns on the buttons).

Nostalgia ain't what it use to be !!!  :biglaugh:
