Thought I'd share this if allowed, how brazen is this? and is this quite a common occurrence? I heard about the stuff going on back in the day, there was similar going on that I won't mention as I was not into that scene and don't wanna sound a tit going on about something I don't really know about.

But how crappy are these cabs security wise as it offered little resistance, didn't sound any kind of alarm, and the note box is too conveniently placed for removal.

Maybe a lock in nut for the note box if they don't have one (which by the look of that is a no) , and once it senses it's being tampered with have some of that smart ink stuff that cash van boxes use.

What are your thoughts?

Sorry there was a video but it hasn't uploaded.

Basically guys in pub, breaks open the front of cab then dips hand in and takes the box.

That one? He only gets the hopper. Not the note box. Theyre usually separately locked boxes, often in the bottom of the machine.

Ahh yes I see now, I thought he put his hand further down to the left for the note box.

Nope as far as can tell just the hopper. Not a lot of time to get anything else out!

He just nicks the coin hopper, he couldnt get the note box as that's located in the bottom, although depends if it has a note recycler.
Gotta laugh though how easy it is to open these after all there's only one lock on the front which if you pull the side of the top door it can be easily broken off as it's only locked in plastic. And you wouldn't get an alarm sounding as the machine still thinks it's locked as the lock wasn't broken. Still locked!!!
