Hi all, hope you are well.

Was looking to purchase either a Rio or a T7, but been informed they are 13 years old now and want something reliable, but obviously that comes down to price and amongst other things, so would you try and buy newer or take a risk with a very old cab and how easy are they to repair should something go wrong?

Firstly, I was looking at places like JNC and they only seem to be selling old rios and nothing else, so the first question I would like to ask please, is where would you start looking to find one as I cant find many anywhere?

Secondly what sort of price are we looking at, and what would be deemed a good price, so that I am not getting ripped off?

I know Rios are going for anywhere between £250-£300 which sounds resonable to me, but last time I heard of T7's they were still fetching the 2k-4k mark.

Is this still the case and what is generally the going rate for these?

Thirdly and most importantly I would be looking for one with games I would personally prefer on it.

If you do buy one and iit doesn't come with all games, how easy/difficult is it to install them yourself, or does that come at a nasty price?

If anyone could help/suggest with my options, then it would be very much appreciated.

£999+vat for t7 though you could still pay 2-3 grand for one with some of the more recent games on there.

£999+vat was a one off when Teddys offloaded a load of their stock. You won't get one for that now.

Well, you will if you are in the industry, but for those who are not, not a chance in hell.

Rio might be 13 years old (I'm not sure), but T7 are not. The oldest T7 were manufactured in December 2007 as a test batch, and once they passed certification, most MPU5 T7's were manufactured in April 2008

Actually, Gamestec sold a shed load of stock from their holiday camps to JNC.

theres your answer, ring JNC and just ask...

Yeah you're right it was Gamestec and not Teddys, nonetheless the rest of what I said was right.

Sadly JNC don't have any T7 at the moment, I asked the question recently. Still, stock changes daily so you never know your luck.
