Hi, I'm just wondering what the new £1 coin means for people with home fruitys?

Is taking the coin mech out and getting updated any easy task, where should we take them is it something you can get done in your local cities or do we have to send them away?

I'm sure there's other people like me that would like them done but a little daunted as to what we have to do.

Cheers

Be interesting to find this out and how much it will cost per machine.

I've got a couple here in my house now, so will probably just keep £500 or so coins to one side.... spare.

Keep an eye on the following thread for info / updates, but basically things like payouts are not expected to be affected, it's just the mech's that are the issue, which you will need to send off to be re-calibrated, with an aprox cost of between £15 / £20 per mech, some places doing an offer if you get the new 10p sorted at the same time (Worth doing this).....

Cheers for the reply, do you have any good recommendations on companies to send them too? I think it's defo worth doing just for when it comes to resale, there may also be alot of fruitys being traded as people aren't all going to get them done?

I have a contact in Leicester who still works in the vending trade (Also same issue with the mechs), but you are probs best contacting SteveH @ Swallow Amusements (Fellow member from MPU Mecca), but wait till the official coin release date end of march, as the sample set's the trade is having to use (SteveH will tell you this), the tolerance is quite sloppy.

Thanks mate, sent him an email and he came back with a quote.

If anyone else is doing this it's worth identifying what type of mech's you have first so you can get a relevant quote first. Should say on the side of the mech somewhere about 150mm bellow the coin slots, you can always Google it then and check it looks the same.
I found out mine are an Sr5 and cash flow 160dx and he said it £35 the pair plus return postage, which sounds good... cheers Stan

Do they need the whole coin mech, or can you take off the sorter ? - I have two to change when the time comes, they are c435a and a cashflow 126 dfx .
