Technically yes. Probably not in a note acceptor though.

I'm amazed that the Bank of England has not incorporated some kind of Braille on bank notes. Very interested on the method you use to identify them. Currency in this country is not very user friendly for visually impaired people.

The variants of size allows for this, now if you are talking the $US then thats a different story as the notes are an identical size?

New £10 note has raised tactile bumps to aid identification for the visually impaired.

Yep, had a guy come round to buy something I was selling on Gumtree and paid me in the new tenners. They have a weird feel to them and I'm not sure I like how plasticky they are. I prefer crumpled notes in my pocket but I'm probably old fashioned.

I noticed the 4 raised bumps at the top left of the note and presumed they were for visually impaired folks. Don't remember seeing them on the new fivers though? Or perhaps you know it's a fiver by the lack of raised bumps??
