Screen Play is a great old semi lo-tech video affair from Maygay, thanks MFME v5.1 the sounds are now fully emulated.

 

This comes in two flavours, a standard DX which represents the original machine. The screen is quite small and even on my larger screen I struggled with text especially when answering questions so I'd imagine a laptop would be impossible. So I re-designed the machine layout allowing for a larger screen in the top glass hopefully catering for all.

 

Big thanks for this release to Stevedude2 for the existing DX, Ploggy for glass scans, Jonno & Sam for the roms, Stanmarsh for buttons, and Wizard for the updated MFMEv5.1

 

Moving forward all my work will be optimised for v5.1 Make sure you run this on MFMEv 5.1 only.

thanks for these and they look great, the normal one looks and plays fine on my 17" lappy the pdx runs a lot slower maybe due to the larger screen used

Just realized what the screen play film board thingy does on screen, when full gives extra features "spot light" so i'd imagime this came out shortly after the spot light, sudden impact series of fruits, of which i'm redoing the layouts i made of these in mega form

Well, talking of footy, might play this machine on quiet volume while listening to BBC 5 live Sutton United at 15:00. Thanks to Wizard for MFME v5.1, in fact, heading off to dxcellent right now!

Cheers Pook, another excellent release of a true classic.

I remember speaking to Maygay about this one as I was at Wolves uni for a project in business studies, we were talking about older players at the time not trusting all video fruiities (not that there was many at the time), I think the chap was quite impressed that I came up with that!

This video was made using v5, my release notes advise to use v5.1 as half the sounds are missing and the reels aren't displayed properly.
