ive done some research into a company car and to be honest i found it quite bewildering.

http://comcar.co.uk/...opten.cfm?clk=1

id like to consider a "BMW 1 Series 5 Door 118d SE" but for the life of me i couldnt understand the results.

am i right ot assume that the car in question is 20% taxable ?

assume 40,000 miles per year at 45p per mile first 10,000 and 25p per mile thereafter.

I have to question why you'd want to consider a BMW 1 series.

Just the car normally taxes you 20% of the list price per year.

But the CO2 and other factors come into it as well as if you get fuel benefit as well as the car benefit, but im no expert and I could be wrong.

Im just going on what I pay, but I pay for private mileage which is different to if you don't have to pay for any fuel even for private use.
