Lemmy was a self confessed "Fruity addict" who also sang a few brill songs will a little known group called "Motorhead".

He got the name "lemmy" from his mates, when he ran out of money to play the fruit machines, he would ask his friends to "lemmy"(lend me) a pound and the name stuck.

I never met "Lemmy", but quite often buy my veg along side the lead guitarist "Phil Campbell".

So lets raise a glass tonight to a fellow Fruity lover who'll be up there playing the celestial fruit machine looking for three "ACE OF SPADES" on the win line  while slugging a glass a whiskey.

Cheers Lemmy, thanks for the music.

M

Phil Campbell died earlier this year as well, didn't he?

Quite remarkable that some of them lasted this long really - I still didn't see this coming though. Lemmy seemed like one of those people who was practically indestructible!

Edit: Nope I'm thinking of drummer Phil Taylor.
Phil Campbell still alive at this time!

Phil Campbell alive and very well, we were deciding on which was the best cauliflower to have at a local greengrocers in Pontypridd a few weeks ago, after he left I told the woman serving who he was, she was gutted she didn't recognise him.

Another great rock and roller gone!!! The name Motorhead was a reference to Amphetamines, I think?

I remember seeing Ian 'Lemmy' Kilmister, along with Dave Brock & Co. (Aka Hawkwind) at St.Andrews Hall, Norwich  on 16-01-74  !!!

It was the Space Ritual tour, with Liquid Lennon and The lens men on lights and strobes, oh of course Stacia dancing about on stage wearing nothing but a smile. Great stuff!!!

RIP Lemmy, thanks
