In my local arcade we have a 3 game unit that has Rocky, Rainbow Riches pots of gold and Mummy Money.

I'll try and explain the problem as best I can, for weeks both Rocky & RR have had the pots at £500 and a lady  I know has ploughed a lot of money into both trying to get the pots.

Anyway someone came in and won the gold pot on RR, that's fair enough you pays your money and takke your chance.

The following day the lady I know comes in and discovers the £500 has gone on the RR so decides to play Rocky instead, she then notices the £500 gold pot has gone on that game too.

When she asked staff who had won both jackpots she was told that only RR had dropped not rocky, yet both pots had gone.

Upon further inspection all 3 games pots are now exactly the same down to the exact pence. When asked about this the owner of the arcade says its quite legal and is called Progressive Gaming.

Surely this cannot be allowed as each game should be independent?

I'm asking because the lady does not have internet and would like to know if this is legal

Any help wupld be very much appreciated.

Cheers

Doesn't seem fair though, a case of one goes all go.

I'm sure they did this when Rr first came out, a bit like a top board linking three machines

He doesn't mean 3 machines linked he means 3 games linked on one seperate 777 cab stand alone, when they where at their prime, before they started to install a few games and have a community on them a lot had 3 games of the already mentioned Mummy, Pots of Gold and Rocky sometimes it would have Neptunes Treasure instead, and yes for the pots to be combined was perfectly normal and legal, they used to be quite common a couple of yrs ago, most 777 cabs now the games are not pot linked on the stand alones tbh most are unit linked anyway with the community games linking a lot but even a lot of them although you are linked by another player the units still have a individual pot, infact it's more T8 now anyway.

There's a sizzling 7's cabinet in the arcade near me where as mentioned above it's got RR PoG and Rocky with shared pots. But also on the cabinet is RR Luck of the Irish which has it's own individual pot's which I thought was a bit weird.

If one goes it's gone on each game but the pots rise faster in the first place as each game contributes.

Why not?

It's exactly like when s16s were linked. You could all be chasing the £500 pot but only 1 could win it. But each machine was separate so the pots on those things grew so quick!

Dunno, just doesn't seem right that someone could play RR for months on end chasing the gold pot them someone comes along puts a couple of quid in rocky and drops the gold pot and then it disappears off RR too.

Really glad I dont play these I'll stick to adders and ladders lol

BTW can Adders and ladders be emulated, I'm on about the Empire games one that does the laugh when you get invincible?

but at the end of the day its the arcade who chooses the programs for there machine as they wonted it to save money as they don't come in on the setting i.e so they only have 1 gold pot at 500

But the £500 pot you have been chasing may have really only been £290 if it wasn't for someone else building it up on a different game.

Personally, I would like to see linked machines, say 10, with linked games/pots. A reset pot could max out again in a few hours then.
