I've had it for a few months now and really like it. It's snappier and has a really modern feel to it.

Yeah my mate has it as a developer so I have seen it, played with it, just not on my own devices yet!
Cant wait, biggest change since year dot.

I'm looking forward to it - it might not be so graphic-intensive as presently on my iPad2 - although iOS 6 on my iPhone 5 is very fast, so hopefully it will be much more snappier, as duplu has mentioned.
I'm also very much looking forward to the latest OS X release from Apple too - OS X Mavericks looks very much the 'biz' and if is as cheap as OS X Mountain Lion was - it will be well worth the cost to make the iMac run much more smoothly.

Mavericks is good too. It's on preview 7 now and I've had no problems

It's about time - the old interface really looks dated now.

I'm sure there was a link once somewhere here where you could actually run Windows 3.1 on the web as a full desktop experience...
...I'm sure some kind soul could point us to the link

thanks Ben mate...
...my iPhone 5 is now completely up-to-date and is working the dog's doo-das now.The
new iCandy UI look is very fast, responsive and at long last the keyboard is much easier to see, use and type with.
It feels bouncy, fast, free-flowing and a lot less 'clumpy' than it felt before... the iPad is in 'update progress' as I type this

Having configured a few today it does seem to be improved. Finally there's the Android pull down (OK up in iOS) to turn networking / wifi etc on and off which has been missing for a while (although you can do it from the lock screen as well which means that bored mates can switch it all on in the pub for a laugh). The "today" screen and notifications pull down are also much improved.
Performance wise it seemed pretty similar to the same devices on 6, although these were brand new out of the box - it might be different when apps etc are loaded.
All it needs now is a Back button, and I'd almost consider moving over .

you can disable it from working from the lock screen if your likely to be around "those" mates lol
you can go back from most screens via swiping right if that's what you mean ?
I have it on a 4S 32gb which is nearly full and seems pretty nippy.
the only thing noticed is battery usage seems slightly higher but that might just be down to not tweeked the new settings yet, and have been "playing" with it more lol
