I've got a simply answer....
NO
As I wrote in SB yesterday ' I'll probably be retiring before you see Dond or partytime or £70ers emu'ed unless I win the lottery which it very unlikely as don't play lottery odds are to stretched.
Hope this answers your question relating to the bearded twat.

Believe it or not there's actually a £70er on Epoch that works in the emulator :)

It probably won't be released for a while as it's still considered a 'current' machine

It's not that surprising, but good to know :)

Quite a few machines were 'dual released' on EPOCH and Scorpion 4, which seemed odd at the time. I'd guess it's one of those 'inner, middle, outer' trail ones with shots and a super meter? You may find that more than one runs, especially since they are all clones of eachother, even if by different companies (AC GAMES, COOL GAMES, e.t.c.)

^^ Ah really that's interesting :)

Yes it is - the machine is Poker Face by AC games...  Do you know the names of other potential ones?  Just so we can keep an eye out for them :)

Thanks

Poker Face eh? Interesting ;)

I can only think of a couple off the top of my head, there was Bucks Bunny and Gold Rush, I've definitely seen both of those in Maygay cabinets. Also one called Money Spider (I think that was the name!), no idea who that was by but pretty sure I played it on £5 jackpot in Skeg Vegas a long time ago :D

[edit]

Few of these on eBay to give you an idea :

Bucks Bunny : http://www.ebay.co.u...=item461183a939

Gold Rush : http://www.ebay.co.u...=item2c713c61f2

Money Spider : http://img825.images...moneyspider.jpg << in a Bell Fruit cabinet but I'm sure I've seen it in a Maygay one too!

I can't be sure if they were EPOCH or the ECLIPSE ONE STOP hardware though. Here's hoping they were EPOCH :)

Jackpots that Rock and Roll was on Epoch, done by Global Games I think.  There was also a clone called Warped, which may have been £70 but I can't remember.  This game was cloned to death.

Watch out! There's a SIG thief about...

This 'current' and 3 year rule to be honest just doesn't and has never existed within FME.

When 9.4 was 'leaked' to the whole of the FME scene, there was still 'current' techs running on it then.... not one of the fruit machine manufacturers chased FME at all - admittedly Empire withdrew their support from FME - but they never pursued any 'legal' avenues to stop the emulator, or releases to play on it.

This 3 year rule was in fact invented by the coders of the earlier emulators so as they didn't have to release us the latest emulators to play and thus they could still keep a 'hold' over the scene.

I really do hope the current coders don't continue down the path of those before them... it inevitably only leads to bad blood, and to be honest it just isn't fair on FME anymore that it should have to go through all that again.

Once again, there is no written law in FME or among the manufacturers about 'current' and 3 year games and techs being used... don't let's go down that route again.

It doesn't matter to me in the slightest... but FME and its scene does - and it has been through enough these past years.

Well my stance is, and has always been that the purpose of emulation is to preserve machines that effectively don't exist anymore (which now applies to the vast majority of Epoch machines).

In my view a machine should not be publically emulated while it still holds a 'significant' commercial interest (ie is sold by distributers or available to play in mainstream arcades/pubs).

I'm completely out of touch with the industry so I don't know if the above still applies to these £70 Games Media and subsidaries' machines.  If it does then I wouldn't really be happy with them being released at the moment.  Emulation shouldn't do anything that could potentially damage the industry (and potentially therefore people's livelihoods)

I may look at getting Scorpion 4/5 working.  If I do there would be some kind of control to prevent 'current' machines from running in public releases.  This is not to keep a 'hold' over the community or to make people jealous.  It's simply a matter of principles.
