Hi folks

I'm fairly new to FME, so if I'm addressing a frequently (and answered) subject, please accept my apologies.

I've just downloaded Rio Grande WDX (a machine I loved to play back in the day) but on playing, I've noticed that the in/out meters are not increasing.

Despite 'putting in' £500, the IN meter at the top, and indeed the stats in 'configuration' remain at zero - thus meaning that the machine will not change state.

Any ideas please? It's getting boring to play when it doesn't start to 'buzz'.

Thanks :-)

Correct..... some of the layouts, the creators was unable to map the in / out / VTP correctly, so they was released as is.

Even though this is the case as with others. Am I correct in thinking even though the meters don't work they'll still pay/play the same so will eventually pay jackpot

That is correct vectra mate... the takings, ie cash in and out is still kept in memory, it just doesn't read on some layouts on the emulators - so yes, with enough playthrough, the Jackpot will eventually be achievable. :)

Trust me, I've jackpotted this several times in the emulator and you will be due one any minute. While the meters in MFME are not changing, the actual machine software knows exactly what has gone in and out.

[edit - just realised Daryl basically said the same above 3 hours ago! :)]

Stick with it, give it another £100 or so and report back :)

I had this up to £200+ once just gambling from a low win via the x3 x2 x1 etc.

Thanks for all your replies, guys. I will persevere.

I used to go round bingo halls playing these, exactly as you say, by gambling all the way.

As none of the pensioners there had a clue, most of them were buzzing off their faces and gagging to pay jackpots! When I got the gamble to like £40, all the grannies were going 'collect it, collect it' ! LOL

Ahhh, those were the days..........

Will report back :-)

After sticking in about £2k, I eventually got the jackpot by gambling a £6 win all the way.

As was some cases back in the day, if a machine was buzzing TOO much (ie a filthy amount of money had gone in) it would actually 'block up' and the jackpot wouldn't come out. If this was the case, sucking out £40-£50 would 'release' the jackpot.

Maybe this is the case with Rio Grande? Maybe it starts in a 'too buzzing' mode, because after I got the jackpot, it was still 'flying' and hitting WIN more frequently and with more x2's and x3's than before where it would invariably be x1.5 (ewww)

I used to be big into FME a few years ago but discovering this site has opened a brand new interest for me and taken me back to those halcyon days when I actually made a living off playing these things - so thank you very much all :D

Right, now off to play Psycho Cash Beast club and Royal Exchange Club!!

Glad to see you're enjoy the site jackpotuk and reliving the happy memories of scabbing the jackpots. Its nice to see newbies joining in with topics etc. If your interested there's also a club spectrum on here that was in the bingo halls the same time as rio grande

I LOVE playing this machine - crazy thing just happened tho'

I got the £500 on the feature...a few features later, it offered me £135 (which i refused) and then a few spins later the 4 blue barcrests came in for another £500.

Shortly after that, I got a gamble up to £500!!

Outrageous behaviour!
