File Name: Crystals Frank N Stein Wdx

File Submitter: Tommy.C

File Submitted: 08 Oct 2012

File Category: Project Amber

Hi all here's a wdx of frank n stein by crystal, this has been waiting for the sounds to be emulated for an age and is now available thanks to guitar for sorting the nec sound expansion card out.I just love this game it's just brill, the game is on 10p play with a £6 jackpot so plenty going on,Big thanks to super 7 for the reel overlays and to all other contributors it's been ages so i can't remember everyone. All shortcuts are as normal.

Ok as you know you download the roms as well as they come with the upload,so once you have your layout and roms, extract them to were you want to and grab the files put the franknstein.pac in your layouts folder and all the roms to your roms folder, scan for games in library if it doesn't pick the game up,then pick a profile select play and away you go. You will need the updated version of the emulator to run this game properly, just download extract and overwrite the previous version with it.

Just had a good little play on this, didn't do a lot and then dropped in a couple of jackpots back to back :)

Never played one, but know it's one that people have been after for ages, and you've done a fine job with it :D

Can I just confirm - is it supposed to be mute? I'm running the latest version of Amber (10119) but it's still mute :)

Sorted, thanks! Not sure how to pull options up normally, I just Alt+Tabbed out of the fullscreen mode, clicked options on the little window left behind (while getting loads of graphics errors), changed the settings as per your post above, then quit and it asked if I wanted to save on the way out.

On reloading, I now have sound - lovely! Thanks :)

This will not run in the public versions of MFME so unless there is ever an update (which I can't see happening) it will just be in Amber

I don't seem to have the serial ver box to tick, I am using Amber ver 1.14.
I have:
Options:
MPU4:

Sound Select:
Sampled:
Alt Bank
OKI
NEC

Synthesized:
AY-3-8910
YM2149

Thanks for the layout, it looks fantastic :)

It says in the release thread you need the latest version of the emulator which is currently V.10119

Unfortunately MFME doesn't support crystal games. It will not work on MFME

The Alpha Display is garbled
Sound is unsupported
And all encrypted games do not run in MFME
