i heard it was because he mislead the stewards after the race, which led to trulli's 25 second penalty. then today new evidence came to light, which was radio transmissions i think

Hamilton has been a penalty-magnet since he joined F1.
He has something of the Michael Schumacher about him, in terms of his will to win. This is a good thing.
But his pass of Raikkonen last year at Spa, for example, was a disgrace to F1.
He has attracted this kind of attention imo. He has everything required to win, but he needs to calm down a little and let things come to him so more.
Born winner, and I admire him. Still hope he doesn't win the championship though

he aint as good as everyone makes out!! you will see that this year when there car isnt up to the pace
hes a kid whos had good cars all his life with the skill of most drivers add the best car on the grid and there you go you win! this year we will see him fall back incidents like melbourne are just the beginning of his desperate attempt to get back on to the podium cause he just cant stand losing and proving all the media that he aint gods gift

all aboard the bandwagon! anymore to jump on board?
I mean seriously people, have a think about it all first can we, he's been done for misleading them, they have accepted it but it makes a mockery of the stewards investigating the incident. They are saying that he was misleading in giving information in the discussion over the incident, specifically that he didn't tell the stewards what was said on his radio about overtaking Trulli.
Question is, why would he lie? He had told the worlds media straight after the race that he was told to overtake trulli, millions of people worldwide heard him say it so why would he lie about that? Not something he was likely to get away with, it would be like someone stabbing Davina to death live on Big Brother then telling the court it wasn't him!
On top of that, why the hell didn't the stewards simply listen to the team radios during the review or before they called them all in. They are publically available, took me about 3 minutes to google the team radios and find either transcripts or full audio of the last few laps, are they really that inept?
Regardless of the outcome and who the penalties are for these inquests are making a mockery of the racing. Whats the point in watching the race, the final outcome will just be decided a week later by the FIA and stewards. What happens if they now decide to penalise Brawn GP and the other cars running Diffusers once the appeal case is heard post Malaysia, are we going to see the results of Australia and Malaysia change again?
There should be a cut off point installed, surely the race stweards and the FIA are competent enough to sort out any problems within 24 hours post race, they have the staff and the funds to cope with it! 24 hours post race the finishing positions should be final, any team would have lodged appeals in that time and they could easily be cleared up leaving people in no doubt as to where things have ended up

Sport?....Dont make me laugh!
It wont be long before the drivers are all lawyers and we get to watch them on tv fighting for a week in a courtroom with half the points being awarded by judges the other half by public phone poll (please remember votes casted after the court has closed will not be counted but may still be charged) I wonder when the FIA will own up to selling out to simon cowell

The sports become a joke and the FIA are so anti Hamilton its unbelievable. Surly common sense should have taken over with only 4 laps remaining and rather than deploying the safety car in this incidence the race should have been over at the end of that lap. Personaly I dont think theres any entertainment in watching the cars following the safety car around the track at 60mp with no overtaking anyway. All cars should be taken back into the pits and set off again once the track is clear with the same advantage as they had already gainned from the cars behind them. How hard could it really be the safety car just penalises the cars that had built up an advantage or lead over the cars behind them! Altho thinking about it isnt the safety car a Mclaren surly theres some way they could fine them for something aswell.
