Hi aaamusements,

I've just paid and set up a subscription, please add this to my account at your earliest convenience.

Would have sent you a PM but when I did there was an error saying your account cannot receive private messages.

Many thanks.

I guess they are keen to download more than 1 layout a day.

I see it was added very quickly yesterday anyway.

I did, and to be fair to this site, they processed the donation and allowed me to download files very quickly indeed, very impressive.

Thanks, I'm not particularly patient though. An example of the "want it right now" generation, if you will.

Yes I wanted to download some games and get going with the emulator... it's interesting to play multiple games on the emulator, just as it is in a real arcade.

The subscription was added very quickly, no issues there at all.

Why would you assume that everyone is up to no good? I've got no intention whatsoever to sell anything on eBay.

Well done for being inflammatory for no reason whatsoever though. Part of why the scene isn't as happy as it could be, I suppose... some people just wanting to have a pop, rather than all enjoying what we've got without abuse.

Thought so. Seen many like you come and many more go over the years. Want it now attitude will get you nowhere in this adequately happy scene i am afraid. Toodles. :cute:

You see, that's the "funny" thing. I've plenty to give to the scene in terms of help and advice via many years of work on real machines, as well as wanting to take (via downloads) as well.

But rude messages don't help to make folk want to stick around. That's fine, I guess, if you don't want the scene to grow.

Also, my reply about being one of the "want it now" generation was actually not true, just a bit of fun... It appears that sort of thing isn't appreciated around here. Shame, as this is a brilliant site.

dont take the comments from other members as a personal attack, its just that over the years there have been many leachers who just do a "hit and run" and take from the scene.

an awful amount of work is put into the emulator (@wizard) and the layout creators and the various supporting websites...

i know it seems like you may be being "tared by the same brush" as these hit and run merchants, but it happens so often, that other members get tired of it...

BUT, if you stick around, you will find that almost (almost :) ) all members are very helpful, and we have an excellent MFME community.. trust me, dont let first impressions infulence your experance here. stick around for a while and see how you feel then...

its a little bit like a disfunctional family here....sometimes we fight (boy, can we fight! lol) and other times we all get along great, and have a good laugh. :)

Thank you for contributing to the upkeep of the site. I did see Alex had already upgraded your status yesterday afternoon.

For info, the issues regarding donations is that the automatic upgrade doesn't work so they all have to be progressed manually at present. That is why there can be a delay.

Welcome to the site 'Fruitnutter' and I hope you enjoy your stay here. Folk here (quite rightly) are defensive of their work and in many instances have proved right. As like most sites there has been some history, so please understand

this.

Please enjoy the site for your own personal use (like we all do) and all will be fine. :)

Thanks for the kind words Shaun, look forward to contributing here, and maybe even creating a layout or two!

Thanks Geddy!

I can't take credit for it though, all I did was respond to each message(individually) quite quickly, the forum automatically multi-quoted for me!!

Welcome fruitnutter
I suppose your initial post didn't help with the
" I want a pony and I WANT it now!!"
But as you say we all live in a " I want it now' society
Is it a good thing? I don't think so anyways
Maybe some were quick to jump the gun as comments like the above will only drive hopeful members away, but on the other hand we do get a lot of "wanting" newbies here, and you've donated which is a good thing, unlike some " I want" members
Anyways enough rambling I hope you continue to use this site and join in with various topics and the odd thankyou for layout made goes a long way amongst us creators etc

Hey :)

Yes I appreciate there are a lot of people who will take take take (without a thank you) and give absolutely nothing back in return. I try to be the opposite of that, both in society and on the Internet. Anyway, moving on, yes I hope to continue using the site, and hope to not only enjoy what's here, but to contribute something of my own at some point. Got big plans in that respect actually, so keep your eyes peeled ;-) No, it isn't a brand new emulator though, I'm afraid!

Welcome to the group fruitnutter

Cheers!!
