File Name: Criss Cross Crazy DX

File Submitter: ploggy

File Submitted: 09 Jan 2018

File Category: MPU4

This is straight conversion of the DX I originally did on Project Amber with Guitar, which is called Criss Cross Crazy.  A mid-tech machine that was made by Coinworld in the late nineties on the MPU4 tech.  Set to £5/10p/92%.

Make sure to use the latest version of MFME for this layout, which at time of uploading is MFME6.0.  So you can get full meter/payout sounds effects, and also V6 is the only version of MFME that supports these Coinworld machines.

Huge thanks for this layout go out to the following people:

Guitar:  For help in creating the original Project Amber layout.
Reg:  For help in getting the Coinworld CHR working.
SPA:  For the photos that were used.
Wizard:  For MFME, and for adding full Coinworld emulation support. :)

Shortcuts for this are:

Cancel/Collect - ` or C
Hold/Nudge 1 - 1
Hold/Nudge 2 - 2
Hold/Nudge 3 - 3
Streak - S
Start/Gamble - Space
£1 Insert - 0

Enjoy!

Lovely thank you for this.

I only have this in my classic, great to have your fully blown DX for this.

Thanks for all your work on bringing it to MFME.

Had to upload another version with the correct shortcuts.  I had Cancel/Collect incorrectly set to the wrong shortcuts.  Now fixed. :)

Thanks ploggy, are there any other coin world layouts in the pipeline from anyone, I'd love to do big Ben triple or little Ben as I think it's called the single player.
And what about bear X??
The more I do today, The less I do tomorrow.

The single player version of Big Ben has already been emulated.  I think DAD did it.  Not too sure, as it was a long time ago.  Bear X should be a runner now, but you'd need to know how to get passed the security.  Still gives 'Error 99', on the emulator when you load a fresh set of roms in.

Yes the security needs hand crafting for each machine, there is no easy way to set them up. I'll see if I had Bear X up and running before.

There are resources available for Bear X, so if a base-layout can be setup we can finally see the sucker emulated! :)

Just checked and I haven't done Bear X afterall, but I have done Bear Climber if that's any use?

Edit: Found Bear X forgot it was Proconn :)

Yes, mate.  Bear X is Proconn-based.  I don't know if Coinworld did a MPU4 version as well, but I don't think so.  It is possible mind you, because they have done the same machine on both MPU4, and Proconn before.  Funspots came out on both techs, for example. :)

Here are all the Proconn-based Coinworld machines I know about.  There may have been more.
