Hi, does anyone actually know how a real JPM pool play machine would work? I have never seen such a machine and as I was only born in 1991 I would've never been near one anyway. I was wondering first of all if it had buttons or if it was actually a pull the lever and the reels spin type machine? This is what it sounded like when I played JPM's Pool Play and not finding any youtube videos I thought I'd post it here. THis is the first Electro type machine I've seen on DIF and I've played it but not won yet. I assumed it was a pull the lever type 1 armed bandit simply because there's no software sounds. Hope you all have a good Christmas anyway, I'll definitely be back for 2020!

It has a cancel button, 3 hold buttons which also are used for nudges and a start button.

You can only insert one 5p or one 10p at a time, 5p gives you one spin, 10p gives you two spins. If you insert 10p, then you need to use the 2 spins, before it will let you enter another coin. So in a way that's like a one armed lever bandit machine.

If you enter 50p, it will give you five 10p's in change.

After the reels spin, you will sometimes here a soft grunting sound, which means you can nudge. There is a time limit on the nudge, rather than it offering 1, 2, 3 nudges etc....

If you nudge in an 8 pool ball symbol on reels 1 and 2, then the third reel will auto nudge down, until one of the three 8 pool ball symbols land on that reel. The ball on the third reel, has either 10p, 20p or 50p written on it and that's what it pays.

All wins pay automatically, just like a one armed lever bandit.

Thanks to both of you! And yep I agree it's a masterpiece! I have one of those cheapo 1 armed lever bandits that when you win it makes a bell sound and pays out in real or plastic coins. Quite fun for a novalty toy.
