Just thought I'd do this DX, does anyone have the reel symbols for this so make it more like the reels used for this?

You think that is worthy of a release? You still havent learned how to draw around the area you are lamping yet? Whats the point really, you have released enough now to be learning how to do it right . I didnt know what photoshop was before i released my first layout,i taught myself how to use the tools in photoshop and in mfme.

Your not interested in any help you've been clear on that with your pure ignorance to any advice given to you. If you cant release a proper layout dont bother, you dont even do the read lamps either, give your head a wobble and start listening to people ffs.

I have to agree with tommy here, you seem keen on making layouts but dont seem to want to push yourself to do better.

some advice:

1. listen to peoples feedback, there are alot of things you (the designer) become blind to after staring at the same layout for hours.

2. find/buy some good resources, tiny images will always produce shocking layouts unless you are willing to redraw all of the art.

3. if you have trouble with doing part of the layout (red lamps for example) then ask on the forums, learn and then next time you will know what to do.

4. photos are one on the harder formats to work with as there are alot of things that need cleaning before being good enough for a layout, start with a good flyer for your first few layouts if you can.

standards of layouts are higher these days but even back in the 2000's a layout like this would have been shot down in seconds and rightly so, its sounds harsh to say but layouts like this dont belong in fme in 2019 there are plenty of good resources floating around if you dont want to buy any.

i have found i do have the flyer for this, here ( http://www.fmedb.com/fmedb/flyer.zip ) spend time cleaning it up (dont be affraid to ask for help!), it will teach more than "lamping" a tiny image ever will.

Heres a quick and rough example of cleaning lines. its not hard once you have done it a few times (this is a rushed example but hopefully enough to show you its not impossible)

Edit: i have attached an example of one of the worst ones i can remember doing, took me atleast 8 hours I.I.R.C but the payoff was great art to use for the layout.

If he bothered to look I have some images of this within the gallery section but again he doesn’t listen to any advice given,
At least when I first started I did read the advice given not necessarily follow it through but I got there in the end
How long will it take you to get to the end of this very long tunnel

A humble man is successful, an ignorant one is not. I don't know why you are afraid to ask for help as you can learn shitloads from various people on here not just layout creators. Don't burn your bridges as it would be the worse mistake you could make!!!

This is a friendly piece of advice because I can clearly see that FMLs like to help other FMLs too.

Do the right thing buddy.

any chance of meme being put on the list so any uploads have to be approved first not approving them him self as his layouts need checking first

If its substandard I will hide it. Best I can offer. Enough advice in this thread to avoid this if he chooses. If not then release will be pointless.

There should be a limit to the quality of a layout whether in classic or dx form, a certain standard. We all know we can't get a tommy or pook layout straight away and every layout creator had shite layouts to start with, or in my case at least 150 rofl. but some kind of standard needs to be met.

i say if its sub-standard then it needs to go to quarantine or the release thread locked! and the creator needs a pm from either a mod or a respected creator again the likes of tommy c or pook to "hopefully" guide them in the right direction, of which they then get the chance to improve on the standard of their layout. If they've not replied to the pm or given a shit via a topic reply within a certain amount of time then and only then the layout should be deleted and restrictions put in place against the uploader.

i thought uploads from newbie creators had to be authorized by a mod, if not could they be put back in place?

As for your layouts banditboy they we're the best either, when was the last time "you" released a layout??

I really feel for you meme,But the advice you are being given is spot on.The community has become accustomed to top quality layouts by the likes of vecs, tommy, pook, reg, dad etc if ive missed anyone out you know who you are :)include yourself.Don't lose heart :) all these designers started the same as you,its gonna take time and more time before you get it right,if you ever get it right that is,sorry to be a pessemist :) but keep at it,especially the cutting out bit,get that right and your further than you were before,a step in the right direction.good luck :D

@Vectra... There you go talking shit again😡
Your layouts are fcuking great and I have many of them including the one from today. Anyone want to disagree with me? No? Good, stfu!!

Even Bungle agrees with me and you like many others including Pook and TommyC ask for assistance if need be. That's teamwork, that is a true love for FME!!

To be fair it looks like hes using the inbuilt lamping tools within mfme, this is what they are for. Maybe lighten the base image, might cut the lamps out better?
