Is it possible when the machine is full for it to play a 'backing' sound?

Don't know about that but what I have heard is if you ram a few Quid's in by tapping "0" you get the odd quid falling through the machine to the payout tray sound.
Another thing I've noticed since the introduction of coin sound effects.
My old layout take two £4.80jp, if you're on the cashpot feature and you're hi lo'ing to moneymaker and you lose it pays out a single token or 20p which is odd as I thought it never did this on the real machine.
One more thing about effects, we still need the payout sound for scorp4/5 machines where the coins fall into the plastic tray, as the metal sounds don't sound quite right!

It might be possible.  MFME would need to have tube sensor, so it can keep track on how full a pound tube is etc, also if a machine goes empty, these would be great little features.   I would think later hopper based machines know what is in the hopper.

true tell me how to do it? and i'll see what i can do,

would need some pounds first old ones as not converted to new £1 although its only the sound of the coin hitting the payout tray we need not necessarily an actual payout so could simply do it with the machine off

Just use your mobile phone to record the sounds then use software like audacity (free) that you can cut the sample up.
