Astra - Rumpel Wildspins £500 Jackpot - How to install new games?

Hi everyone.

I am seeking some guidance with regards to my Astra Video Slot Machine (Rumpel Wildspins). The machine came pre-loaded with 5 games.

1. Reel King

2. Rumpel Wildspins

3. Magic Pots

4. Diamond King (or something).

5. Jack and the Giant Jackpots.

After playing for a while these games are now getting a little boring. Whilst exploring the machine i notice that within the Admin panel you can review the installed games, whilst in this menu i notice there are around 20 more slots which are 'free' and not allocated meaning more games can be added and installed. Well i have no idea where i could source new games and how i would go about installing new games. Can anyone please give any guidance as to how i go about doing this?

I would really appreciate any help/guidance and i'm looking forward to learning more on these forums!

Unless you have the correct dongle you will not get other games going, even in demo.

I'm guessing this is a special type of dongle, is there anywhere which sell dongles loaded with games etc?

Astra might, trouble is the updates sometimes come with new actual eprom for the board too. So you would need game, dongle and eproms. Games are not an issue, it's the other bits. I managed to get 4 dongles for astra video cabs but can't get anything running with them. Even loaded all games to see what would be available.

I do have 2 pcs for mine. Both work fine from the same eproms. I just swap the pcs if I want to change the games. I have a double action slotto and king pots.

What are the eproms for Spa?   I thought all these games installed on an internal hard drive, is this not the case with the Astra video cabs?

The update kit I got came with 2 usb sticks and 2 eproms. Not sure what the roms are for as both the pcs I have run fine in the same cab with the same roms.

A bit gutted as one of the dongles I have is for a clockwork oranges. Tried and failed. Will look further into that when I can get to the machine!

Same as last night, you can't add games to Astra cabs. Unless you buy the correct dongle.

I fancy getting an Astra cab and doing some experimentation, seems a bit annoying that games can't be added even in demo. Astra seem to be missing a trick there!
