#332070 Galloping Jackpots Manual?

Posted by frig on 24 June 2020 - 08:12 AM in Real Fruit Machines

Hi all
Just purchased my first fruity, a Galloping Jackpots on £100.
Does anybody have a manual for it as the machine doesnt come with one and I need to know how to refill hoppers, set volume, fix broken bulbs etc. Any help will be appreciated

Thanks in advance

J

Just a guess...You could try opening the back door, wait for it to rest, put in your refill key, then press the hopper top up button inside. Then step through to volume on the front button for the volume? You may also be lucky and find a manual on fruitemu.co.uk?

#331932 Changing decals on bulbs

Are you changing both images? IE: The on state and off state? I always tick and then untick the transparent box, and then apply if I am not using a transparent image, or leave it ticked if I do.

#331543 ProtWarWTF - Cabinet Build

Posted by frig on 09 May 2020 - 10:56 AM in Cabinet Building

The coin hopper I have is a really basic generic one. I got it with the intention of rolling my own solution. Its just a motor that turns a disk with holes the size of coins. Then an optical sensor where the coins get pushed out.

attachicon.gif s-l1600.pngattachicon.gif s-l1600 (1).png

I have one of them, but it is only 110v, so I had to use an adapter. One problem I found (Maybe because it is only 110v) is that it can only hold 150ish coins before it is too heavy to spit coins out. I use a bigger 240v one for my main coins, that has tons of power and can hold 1000's of coins.

Very easy to set up with MFME through the Pacdrive and Ipac using the onboard 5v out. (I use Cheap 5v relays with hi/lo triggers)

is this the hot property u trying it on?

https://www.fruit-em...dx/#entry185743

No, I was trying it on Monopoly Hot Property.

However... the volume on that one you mentioned above also works the same way. Refill and step through to volume control.

#330350 Has anyone seen this fruit machine before?

This is the perfect question, for the older gentlemen on fruitemu.co.uk! I am tad too young to remember club machine in the 80's.

#329871 website help please

Posted by frig on 31 December 2019 - 03:58 AM in Any Topic Chat

hi folks,i need some help putting together a fan website,i have the domain, andi have hosting, but as of yet the only content is the holding page.

im not by any means a coder or anything like that, ive tried all the usual online service providers, but they all seem to want to do is sell you a domain and a hosting package.(both of which i already have as said)

im looking for a point and click type web builder, not sure if theres software i could use so would welcome any help or advice please

I would recommend Mobirise (https://mobirise.com/). It's free unless you need a fancy premade template, or want to add hand coded sections. I used to code everything in raw HTML, until websites needed to cater to phones and tablets. I use this now, with the raw code addon, because it does fully responsive sites. You can knock a basic site up with this in a few minutes, with no coding knowledge.

#329788 Parent Rom files?

Posted by frig on 24 December 2019 - 10:50 AM in EMULATOR Help & Advice

If you are talking about updating the ROM set in an MFME layout, then back up and edit the .GAM file and replace the ROM lines to match the new ROM names (Put ROMS in to the same folder as the layout). If you are talking about hard ROMS, then usually you have to physically replace the whole set (carefully, as to not to bend any legs).

Interesting to see this old thread pop up. I am just wondering if Alf Wadbrook, is the same Alf W who owned the arcade accross the road from me in Southport in the 90's?

Hi.

Step 1. Download & install the latest version of MFME from http://www.desertisl.../file/252-mfme/(Make sure you are a member first).

Step 2. Search the download section on here (http://www.fruit-emu...ory/42-mfme-9x/)  and in the download section on desertislandfruits.com, and on dadsfme.com for the games you are looking for.

For older games that have not been updated to run on MFME V19.X, you will need to either look for an updated version of the layout in the fixed layout thread on here (https://www.fruit-em...yout-diy-fixes/), or you wil have to download MFME v5.1, and convert the older layout to run in V19.x by simply running the layout in V5.1 and saving the layout after it has opened.

Have fun:)

#329196 Where to start, my first machine....

Posted by frig on 11 November 2019 - 10:54 AM in Real Fruit Machine help and technical support

Hi Mark

I used to have a Bally EM, and the odd pinball myself. Now I stick to PC emulation with a hopper box and button set up.

RE: Your questions. It is JPM. It is also in the download section as an MFME layout - https://www.fruit-em...crazy-club-wdx/so you can play it on your PC while you wait for it.

For technical stuff like manuals, flyers and guidance, fruitemu.co.uk would be the best place to ask. This site is more emulation orientated, but there are some very knowledgably people who frequent this site too:)

Common stuff to check before you plug the machine after transit is pretty standard, as anything can come loose, like Mechs, tubes, plugs, boards ect. Go round everything to make sure everything is snug.

Your float is up to you. I would stick 250 pound coins in, and 10 pound in 20ps, then use your own money to try and win the jackpot. By the time you win the jackpot, the bottom will probably start filling up.

The coin mech will need re-programming if it does not take new pound coins. Take it to a local operator and see if they will program it for you, or do a mech exchange for beer money.

Enjoy your new hobby twist:)

#329169 Old joke (it made me giggle)

Posted by frig on 09 November 2019 - 04:02 AM in Any Topic Chat

Dear Michael,
I am feeling pretty sad, because it looks like I won’t be able to plant my tomato garden this year. I’m just getting too old to be digging up a garden plot. I know if you were here my troubles would be over.. I know you would be happy to dig the plot for me, like in the old days.
Love, Papa

A few days later he received a letter from his son.

Dear Pop,
Don’t dig up that garden. That’s where the bodies are buried.
Love,
Michael

At 4 a.m. the next morning, FBI agents and local police arrived and dug up the entire area without finding any bodies. They apologized to the old man and left. That same day the old man received another letter from his son.

Dear Pop,
Go ahead and plant the tomatoes now. That’s the best I could do under the circumstances.

Love you,
Michael

OK, you got a link to that and hoppers? Speaking to Reg over at DIF he said the 20ps and 20p tokens payout x2 10ps is that right?

People in the UK use ebay to buy the same mechs/hoppers I buy (From China), but sometimes pay more due to the dropshipper affiliates commision. I don't have a UK link (I live in Asia), I bought my hoppers/relays/buttons/ from lazada.co.th, and shopee.co.th. You could try them, or aliexpress.com from the UK as they usually ship worldwide, or I can give you a whatsapp contact in China, who supplies casinos and amusements vendors, and may be able to do you a bespoke order? They are cheap, but you have to make the order worth the postage cost, and make sure that they provide hoppers that are the right coin size if you use them.

Regarding your hopper question...  MFME only allows a max of 2 hoppers, so you have to alter the settings in MFME IPAC config to accomodate the games that pay out more than 2 different coins. IE: pound in one hopper, and 10ps in the other, so you can pay out 2x10p for 20p payouts, or 5x10p for 50s.

That may be a bit over the top for what you need, and could be a bit complicated to plug in to a cabinet, power up and connect to an Ipac. You might find it easier to get a couple of cheap Chinese mechs for about a fiver each. They do not need programming (You put a coin in the side of them to calibrate) add 12v and hook them up to a relay which then pulses the Ipac.

Look at Luntons decal/reel downloads on Fruitemu.co.uk. I recently redrew the old JPM logo if thats any good to you, just tell me what size/format you want.

If you really want to save money, I can give you a WhatsApp contact in China. They deal in Hoppers/buttons/Arcade/casino/slot machine parts. They are cheap, but the postage might make things expensive, unless you can import enough items/weight to make it worth it, because they insist on using FedEx.

There is nothing better than having your own cabinet for MFME!

For me, I have to be careful as to what I build,  because gambling is strictly illegal where I live, so I can't have something that can be mis-interpreted as an actual slot machine. On the plus side, I can get cheap parts from China (Hoppers, switches, relays ect). The only things I have to import are the PacDrive and Ipac.

This lot currently works perfectly with 1443 games so far.
