Apologies for just jumping straight in here with a question, but I've been searching for a game for the last couple of days with absolutely no luck
The game is basically identical to 'smash and grab' (grab the bank) and the name, or so i thought, is 'crack the nut' - Unless there is an official name for it, which I hope someone knows here.
The only major differences where the fact that the reels where slightly different. It was monkeys instead of pigs, and the one I used to play was a 2p..
I would be over joyed if someone could help me out..

Managed to get hold of all of them I mentioned and a couple I never really got the chance to properly. They just got more expensive and less fun I reckon as time went on. I'm not harking back to the good old days but there was a time when I knew a game would go on a run or streak, 7 heaven was classic for that. We used to have a big row of them in the arcade I 'lived in' and so you could check if it was delaying or kicking as we called it. And then the old 10p unlimited hold on a win trick which wasn't actually illegal for a while, but they soon brought a patch out when they twigged on.
I don't know if anyone can remember kriss-kross and is it emulated? The one I played was 20p and it was about 15 years ago now. It had red and blue criss-crosses and you needed to get them in view to start a run. No idea who it was made by (possibly maygay). But sometimes that would give you unlimited creds with a payout straight after the win.
Oh the good ol´days eh!!

Thanks for the reply.. To be honest, I'm not a lover of a lot of the new games.. I was more into it in the early-mid 90's, my favourites are the likes of 7 heavens, grab the bank, big banker, pound stretcher, cash explosion, each way nudger etc..quite liked the barcode series later on but was getting out of it by then, or should I say eventually counting my losses
I've downloaded a couple of the emulators and roms and can't believe just how spot on they are, even down to how they play! I got a hold of winsprint and it is perfect really.. I was looking around for jokers wild, has that been emulated??

Afternoon/Evening all, I'm pretty new to the emulation scene (but by no means the fruity scene) and just wondered if someone could please explain to me the all the hoo haa about MFME v.9.4.. Thanks to everyone who's allowed me to play games I never thought I would ever see again by the way

That's a real shame (pardon the pun!) as I used to love it.. Does anyone remember 'double up' which was pretty much an updated jokers wild, wouldn't mind having a go at that again..

Just wondered if anyone knows if it's been emulated.. I've looked everywhere I know (which is not many places yet). I think it's a maygay..

I can just say say remember action note to be fair (tho i do remember it slightly with the notes up the side, and moving on to big banker after !!!).. I really started to get to know the fruity's when 777 heavens came out and all that followed which shows my oh so young age

Seeing as I'm new to the whole scene I thought I'd get my 20p tokens worth in. I just came across this whole thing yesterday and I'm amazed. Being able to play classic games such as tuppeny cracker, win sprint, alladins cave, top gear and all the old nudge double ups again is almost a dream come true and it just proves that my mis-spent youth was actually quite well mis-spent!
I can't quite get along with the new fruitys. They're a lot colder now, where as once upon a time they were actually quite fun to play (and dare I say it, fair). Plus they were a lot easier to erm fiddle, but of course I never did any of it officer.. Oh the days when you could empty a 777 heaven on 20p..sighs..
After finding this site, I'm not sure wether I need to go out now..

Yeah I might have guessed in for a penny and moonbug would be out of the question, and anyway I don't want to destroy my fond memories of them as they are probably rubbish really! (Infact, I know they are).
I'll have a look at mpu mecca as I'm more into old games, so thanks for that, though I've forgotten the names of most of them. I stumbled across top gear yesterday and was well pleased as I had totally forgotten about that one..

I haven't uploaded any to the site yet if that's what you mean? I've only just came across the world of fruit-emu, and god I was like a kid in a sweetshop yesterday

Just thought it would be polite to say hello as I've been downloading a few roms over the past 24 hours! Big thanks to all the folk who run and contribute to the site as I never thought I'd ever see the day when I was playing top sprint, tuppeny cracker, spectre, money talks, nudge double up and the likes ever again.. Now just on the hunt for 'moon bug' and 'in for a penny'
