Machine type would help, depends on the machine. You can normally short out the battery to clear the ram but make sure of the machine type first.

Real machine or emulated? The only way to reset the pots would be to clear the ram and start the machine from a fresh. The emulator has a ram clear button in configuration a real machine depends on what machine it is.

Battery leakage. Replace main Scorpion board, highly likely to be that.

Your best bet also is ask at Dessert island fruits or the MPU mecca.

Some layouts are blacklisted from a certain individual (most know who) You can get all your layouts from the Island in the legacy section.

Why not ask at the website you got V20 from? Or did you purchase it? 

Tried the reset and it seems to like the note acceptor and accepts the BNV key, just wont see the notey, Switch 8 is on but the switch setting sheet inside the machine says switch 8 is coin jam alarm enable.

Try one switch on at a time. 

It's also quite an old machine so may not be set up for that type of acceptor. Possibly Scorpion 4 not 5. You may be better off with one of the NV acceptors

BNV code will probably be the last six digits of serial number. Dip switch 8 is usually note acceptor on/off.

You may need to reset the acceptor bnv code, this manual may help.

Cant help you much more, never fitted that type before.

Not at all. Just a couple of plugs and earth leads. Cheap enough on Ebay.

The roms will only support £100 jackpot. You'd need to replace with £70 roms and security chip (the one in the box) if you want that configuration. Are they not with the rest of the decals?

Never seen that error also. I would start by clearing the RAM. 

Does the machine boot fine after displaying the error? or does it lock up?
