Games Media / Global reel-based machines

29 December 2009 - 11:12 AM

Does anyone know - have Games Media withdrawn from the reel-based AWP market completely? So far as I know, they haven't had any new release since PokerFace just over a year ago.

There still seem to be a few £70-upgraded PokerFace'e left around my way (London), and the very occasional £70 Monster Cash, but that's it. These won't last long 'til Ebay beckons.

Their website doesn't even mention reel-based analogue AWPs now, only Juice platform digital games.

I know that many on here will disagree and say that the Games Media output was poorly programmed, but I really used to enjoy playing them. I know the games were badly cloned - since Juggling Jackpots/ Jackpots Rock 'n' Roll all the games have been fairly much the same, but I still found em quite playable, certainly compared to Bell-Fruit's offerings.

Am I the only one to like 'em?, and and anyone confirm that there will be no more?

I have played Mazooma's Grand Master Cash a couple of times, which is a bit similar, but it seems very tight and never goes above £100.

DOND Perfect Game (!)

21 December 2009 - 10:40 PM

A few weeks ago I played this for the first time in a pub in Blackpool. Usual DOND rubbish then after around £30-40 (£1 play) in gave a boar with a line of red phones meaning the DOND feature activated. Kept playing strongly till all but one of the 16 phones was red,and had got to £20/win stopper and then it suddenly shut down and re-initialised, keeping my credits but killing the feature.

Assumed this was a fault, but was hacked off.

Tonight in central London, a DOND Perfect Game did exactly the same. One feature away from mega streak, and it suddenly re-initialised for no reason at all.

Anyone else had this? Feels well dodgy to me
