A lot of new Microsoft computers come as Windows 10 'N' products, meaning only apps from the Microsoft Store can be installed...

However, there is an option somewhere in Settings (probably Updates, but not sure) where you can convert your Windows 10 'N' product into a valid Windows 10 Home or Pro, free of charge and your computer remembers this.

If your PC can do this option, enable it and restart it, and then it should allow 3rd party app installs, other than those from Windows Microsoft Store, and you will and should be able to use the MFME installer to put the emulator on the computer.

Hope you can understand that what I've put lol.

Thanks for the replies.

I havent purchased it yet, was just weighing up the options just now.

Surface pro vs laptop.

Surface pro would be easier for playing emulators anywhere  :biglaugh:

Aparently the sp4 is better than it in reviews i have seen, just it is a bit lighter and slimer, with slightly bigger screen.

its cpu wont run x64 aplications.

It runs perfectly on my surface pro, which is now about 4 or 5 years old.

The trouble with the Surface X is that is uses the ARM cpu. I think it can run most 32bit Windows apps, so potentially will be fine but x64 bit apps need porting across to work with the ARM architecture.
