Here's another JPEMU to MFME Conversion, Pot Of Gold by ???

This was a pain in the backside to convert  :realmad:  Apart from the usual stuff, the band needed offsetting, opto tabs needed to be set to 1 (thanks Dad for the error codes http://www.fruit-emu...pm-error-codes/) For some reason also, it wouldn't accept coins, kept on giving an alarm 1.8 and 1.1. About to give up, but trying the dips, it seemed switching dip 1 on and off, stopped the alarm and dip 2 also. Switches them both on then off and it suddenly worked lol.

Thank you for this, and also to Wizard for the fixes for Jackpot Gems.

So I took this and made a couple of changes - layouts of old don't look always the best, but can we fix them - yes we can...

Attached File  Pot.png   1.11MB   0 downloads

- Darken the Background by going into properites of the background on the background, editing it and clicking apply.

- Design Lamp Mask / Export - Extract the background for the off images.

- Design DX Lamp Creator - Min Pix Diff 1 / Max On Pixel 5 - Click ReMask images, now have transparnt lamps - watch the trail, that is fixed on the left.

- Remove the win line from the number reel.

- Update the alpha.

- Apply an Omni Mask to all lamps.

Now the old style lamping does not seem so harsh.

Another JPEMU conversion to MFME.

Big Bucks by ????

I've set it to £8 20p play. Other than the standard convert stuff, I've added a graphical coin mech.

Here's Pook Maximum Overdrive 1280 DX converted from Jpemu to MFME.

We have a decent 1024 DX by Vecs, and I turned to it, to help with some issues here as some stuff like the reel belt, don't convert automatically. So doing this, also helped me see how to put in a reel belt and resize it etc and put the jailbar masks over the top.

I tried to follow, Reg's tips on this one, but not everything worked well, so I did what I could.

I set it at 80%, I prefer to have machines set to lower % in the emulator, if it's at 90% +, it's usually pretty boring.

I'd probably say, that 72% - 78% was my main experience of slots, with the occasional 80% - 84%. I've never seen slots of old, say anything above 84%

Just to keep the thread on topic, I'd probably say having been through the downloads here and what I already have on Jpemu/Bfmulator, this is the last conversion, I'm likely to do.

What's left, I can't/won't bother doing because, of errors when converting, I don't have the knowledge or skills to add things such as disc reels, or because we already have better or equivalent quality layout for MFME. I'm not a fan of classics, or DX's that are not playable, because you simply can't read anything, but if anyone wants something converted that hasn't been and posts it up, I don't mind having a go at doing it, but would highly recommend having a go yourself, if you've at least some knowledge of layout designing or tinkering with layouts.

If you have time why not many impacts need a spit and polish.

I think I uploaded an early version of the conversion, because I don't seem to have put the jail bars on the download version either. :o

Definitely we could do with some impact machines having an update, but that goes for a lot of techs.

I've got some machines that won't register in and out coins. Not bad as I have over 1000 that do.

So if anyone cares to take a look, then it would be good.

Win-A-Gain MPU3 - In meter setting needed. Out seems to work with Triac 1*1

Road Hog Club MPU4 - Both in and out, I can't find.

Lootshoot MPS2 - I've left the original settings from Ploggy???. It shows 20p coins being entered, but then it starts to register coins in the out meter when you start to spin. Also a strange thing on this, when you get reel roulette, on the reels themselves it has the writing reel roulette in red????

Road Hog Club meters should be Triac6 and Triac7

Win A Gain set display port to meters and then Meter 1 and Meter 2

Warning: This post is mostly my own opinions and may contain irony, if you are obsessed with PAST history you may want to ignore it.
