I read a post yesterday which was removed without warning, another topic has been locked for asking a perfectly straight forward question. Could some one explain why? I can post the thread back up if it has been deleted, thanks you kindly.

Hi Layabout,

I'm a newbie like yourself on here and have noticed the same thing happening. I thought something had gone wrong with my profile on here. Seems strange if this is the case, as there has been no bad language or defamatory remarks made as far as I can make out ?

If you could post the thread that would be nice, it seems one of the members of staff are deleting things they shouldn't be.

It would seem that if you have a view other than that of 'staff' or you are prepared to post the truth about pm's, without actually quoting word for word what the other party said, and saying what you put as a reply, then it's not allowed as certain 'staff' don't want the majority to know what's really going on, hence they delete posts or lock threads.  Occasionally opening them up again, so that THEY can post a reply without fear of someone speaking out of turn.

Even though revealing the contents of a pm isn't actually against the rules, it is however frowned upon.  Which is fair enough, each to their own and all that.  Sometimes though imho threatening, bullying or just downright nasty pm's MUST be revealed to the rest of the membership, as it's only fair, that members know what sort of person someone is, even more so when this type of pm comes from a 'staff' member, someone who is supposed to be here to keep things running smoothly, not the opposite

This could well be my last post as not doubt I will either get a warning point, which I won't acknowledge, therefore making it impossible for me to post again, or I might even get an outright ban.

Whatever happens, I shall always be grateful to the people that have helped me and to the good friends I have made on here.

So just in case......

Cheers lads, it's been great............. well most of it has ;)

Hey BattyBoy2006, what is with all this aggro to fellow members ? No one has caused you any malice or bad feelings so why the attitude ? Would still like to know the answer to layabouts original question at the start of this thread and the reason why everyone is acting so paranoid ??????

Any posts which are removed relate to issues currently being discussed by FE staff or posts (YES PMs too) which blatently break forum rules and regulations.

Simple really!
