Have you downloaded the latest Amber exe.file I think it's 10914 it can be found within the posts on the Amber 10910 topic, also the skydrive link from guitar can be either found in there or in my tutorial on getting Amber and games running. Hope this helps.

You have to put the actual files in the rom and layout folder, not the folder they extract to.

Personally as much as I really appreciate and applaud Guitar as-to what he has done (as I can read the releases and comment's made and achieved) I too still haven't loaded a single Amber layout.

It's not that i'm lazy, it's more my lifestyle is very fast what with work and other things.

I had a prehistoric PC that couldn't even load my bank account correctly as it kept showing 'charges due' etc..on second thought mabey that wasn't my computer!

Joking aside, I invested in a new machine a few months back, I have read the tutorials but I still have problems too..to date I still haven't loaded a single layout as said.

Yup I could quite have easily PMed/Called someone and had a 1-2-1 but I like to read stuff.......to no avail :(

I appreciate a majority of you that run it didn't even have the chance of any written info at all (that we now do have)...but...

Can someone do a video tutorial for lazy so-and-so's like myself?

It'll take time I know, but I joined the Amber trail 'late-on' and all I see is (no disrespect) 'x' amount of updates and all that.

Would someone please be kind enough to take that onboard for us numbskulls :)

ok guys thanks a lot for the replies sorry its been a while checking the thread but had a busy afternoon and night

the problem I had was solved by Vectra666 with his post regarding using the updated version of the emulator I was using an early release.

I then extracted the roms into the rom folder and the pad files into the layout folder ran the emu and it scanned for the roms and now im playing ding dong bells.

thanks again for the help you guys gave,

cheers
