WIP - BWB Ghost Buster

02 August 2018 - 09:46 AM

Hi all,

This is ready to go but I cannot upload as it says the zip file is too big (it isn't).

Any help would be great.  As soon as I can release it, I will.

In the meantime, have a pic :)

Steve

Hi all,

Here's a layout for Step 'n' Skip that I made.

It's on 2p play, £1.50 jackpot, 78%.

Keys are on the layout.

Thanks to SteveP/fruitman69 for testing and help, Road Runner for the ROMs, and finally Wizard for his continued hard work which enables us all to enjoy games from the past in the comfort of our armchairs, rather than smoky arcades.

I hope you all enjoy it.  The layout size is quite big and you'll need a decent PC and large screen to enjoy it at its best.  I may do a smaller version later to cater for laptop users.

Best wishes,
stevedude2 :)

Calling all fruit machine owners!

07 June 2017 - 02:04 PM

Do you own a fruit-machine?

The author of MFME is adding coin and button sounds to the latest forthcoming release -

https://www.fruitemu...fect-wav-files/

In particular Wizard is looking for the sound of a single £1 coin being paid out of the hopper and into the payout tray of any game housed in the Barcrest Genesis 4 or 5 cabinet (such as Pie Factory, Psycho Cash Beast, any Red Gaming Hi-tech and so on).

Myself and others have tried to record sounds on our phones in noisy arcades with mixed results.

If anyone has such a machine at home and is able to record a sound better than in the attached examples, please do so and post it up in this thread.  It would be most appreciated by all in the FME scene :)

In addition to this, any other sounds related to coin-handling (coin in, coin paid out, coin rejected) and buttons being pressed in and out on other cabinets would I'm sure come in very handy in the not-too-distant future, so by all means post them up in this thread.

All the best,

Steve

{SYSTEM 80}BARS OF GOLD (PCP) - Classic layout

Here's a Classic layout I've made for Bars of Gold, a great little PCP game from the late 80's, a time when a few quid lasted you all afternoon Posted Image

They don't make them like this any more, but don't take my word for it - why not treat yourself to a few spins?

It's on 86%, 10p play / £4 jackpot.

Button shortcuts and thanks are on the layout.

Enjoy!

{SYSTEM 80}Lucky Lady BWB

Here's a classic layout of BWB's Lucky Lady, a very playable game from the 80's, that runs on MFME 5 only.

The ROMs are 10p play with a massive £3 token jackpot, and set to 78%.

The original game has a strawberry reel symbol instead of a lemon, but I couldn't find one so I cheated and used a lemon instead to keep the reels looking nice and consistent Posted Image

Buttons are -

Space - START/GAMBLE
B - BANK IT/REVERSE START
S - SKIP
1 - HOLD/NUDGE 1
2 - HOLD/NUDGE 2
3 - HOLD/NUDGE 3
E - EXCHANGE
A - AUTO NUDGE
C - COLLECT/CANCEL
0 - £1 IN
9 - 10p IN
8 - TOKEN IN

Thanks to -

FruitSim for uploading the 'Chase It!' reelbands way back when, which helped me with the reel symbols

MDS who I believe dumped the ROMs from his machine years ago

fruitman69 for his help and testing which turned out to be very useful

And finally thanks once again to Wizard for providing the emulator on which this game runs, allowing me to relive my misspent youth Posted Image

Cheers,
stevedude2
