Yes and thanks buddy- it's running on those Roms- Tres v1.6 . Coin mech works- hopper operates as normal, door switches, test mode works, light sequences-everything seems to be working perfectly.

Yeah will defo upload everything I can once I've restored it... for a BFM clubber it's a proper rare old girl now. You guys have helped me fix it and other machines so would be nice to let everyone play it again...happy days!

Ok so got this machine up and running nicely now... happy days! Bad rom data broken original mpu + broken original gamecard and me making a 4mb-8mb sound chip error when programming a new one. Also fitted a newer known psu to be 100% confident. (One less dond machine out there now!)

Absolutely loving the big pinball style Dot matrix display.

Will start adding pictures asap- the main glasses + finish will be 1-2 weeks

Not to sure on Emus- what's a classic layout? I have the machine if you need anything for it... looked for it on here a while ago but couldn't find it. I saw the certificate date in the machine but Not the mpu as 1997 and started sweating it was an S2!!
Happy to help you guys if you need anything

Regarding Anti-stats- I'm sure club machines could often take £200-£300 of £1 coins straight in? So on these do you think it is more really like a force blocker?

If you were testing another companies machine would you not just cash out a certain amount of times and simulate other coin denominations to try and remove the blockers? Presumably you'd have to do that when testing or simulating how your own machine plays-to get passed your own 'Anti-stats' ?
Just asking out of general interest as this is fascinating :)

I have a Rasperry pi and I've built myself an arcade cabinet. If anyone is struggling with Retroarch best thing to do is just copy an image. If you have kids i suggest you look at running 'kiosk' mode. Great bits of kit. Back up your image often :)

#314017 Help with power supply change.

Posted by Twostroker on 02 January 2018 - 05:46 pm

Hi are all scorpion4 power supplies compatable?
I'm looking at replacing a-

Sanken Gsk017ha marked unit. (Smiley cab)

With a known working-
Sanken Sps040h (eclipse cab)

Both look identical with identical fittings. Only the wiring into the connectors look different in the larger connector blocks between the to cab looms.

Not done this before so thought I'd better check?

How does the jackpot frequency get determined and how does changing the frequency effect awards?

Outstanding mate! My board is mounted low and vertical so I had not seen those switches!!! No clue they was there! My settings were different but it was printed inside so managed to get it all changed over. I wonder why you even need the keys?

Thanks very very much mate :D

#294634 First fruit machine help

Hi cheers for the replies, yeah the feedback from the speaker I've heard on other machines...it's not that bad you can hear the pitch changes when the lights flash. It reminds me of long sessions on the fruity! Think it was Monty python!

The one that's really annoying is the feature dice reel motor the buzz comes from the actual motor not the speaker if you get me. Sounds like if you held you finger on a low phone key type note coming from inside quite abit louder than the speaker feedback. I had a look and was going to ask barcrest about a new one, but they look around £60-80. That's half what you can get a machine for so not worth it right now. I've got used to it playing but still annoying in attract mode and not quite as cool when my mates come round! Still a great buy though I love it! If and when I get my next club one I've learned a fairbit now too, so cheers!

#293930 Jackpots

Ha ha £6500 and no jackpot!? Do you take wins or just always gamble going jp hunting? Do you think it ever will drop?

Also grew up with my mates down the local club! I had a few mates start playing just to get the jp so cost them alot of money. For a while we had lots of people filling them up for us. But went down hill in the end. I can remember one machine heartbreak hotel on £75 watched loads go in kept tabs and never saw it drop.

Do previous payouts count towards when it pays...EG needs to make up its 74%? Has there always got to be enough money in the float...? I have seen one pub jp £100 repeat and the machine ran dry? So guessing no to that one. I'm asking not as a punter more to understand out of interest. Stuff like if you constantly dump your coins so you put them back threw could that effect the jp cycle?

#293199 Hopper

Posted by Twostroker on 07 November 2016 - 06:48 pm

Hi mate did what you said, found a stray £1 jamming the 10p hopper...may do it if it try's to pay in 10p's? I hovered and cleaned them out added some Polish then really lightly sprayed 10 quid with wd and fed them in direct into the hopper and dumped it a few times and that's sorted it out. Cheers.
When it's empty it says H 350 F 000...is the H 350 defo right? Is that just saying the hopper size? Nearly out of questions mate!

#292733 Thinking of giving emulation a go

Posted by Twostroker on 04 November 2016 - 07:51 pm

Think I've got it. Where it says In xxx and Out xxx at the top, is that just per session? Looking at the hopper levels they are going up I think.

Thanks everyone great site!

Managed to turn down the MAIN volume off the refill key settings but the feedback buzzing volume sounds constant...any ideas?
