#314935 Android - MFME

Posted by fuzion on 16 January 2018 - 05:42 PM

I just played Dond Big Deal and it runs flawlessly.  I'm still running mfme v5.1 on my the tablet as well, I think these techs have had improved speed wise in mfme v6.

#314564 PROCONN - Project Coin - Hot Spots - 4K

Posted by fuzion on 11 January 2018 - 01:14 AM

Here are button sounds that I created to use with MFME V6.   If you want to try them stick them in the Default sound and replace the others, or alternatively you could maybe put them into the PROCONN folder within Default Sounds I imagine, though I haven't tried them.

#314509 Project Coin - HotSpot 10p 4 Token

I fixed a problem with some Double Up roms so they do run.  I'm in contact with someone who has one, so hopefully will get something going on that.  I loved these iconic machines.  I plan on doing all of them in my full cabinet style.   Obviously only with the best available resources.   These can easily be redrawn as they are fairly simple but it's just a time hole.

I don't think it's how good the creator is. It's mostly all about the source artwork. M1adness had access to glass scans as he purchased any M1a machines when he could so it's no shock that these still stand out as excellent DX's.

I don't think creating a DX can be considered as much of a skill to be honest. Passion and time, some basic photoshop skills obviously. I think working on a classic is much more difficult, especially on an older tech.

Wow, great news.   Thanks for all the resources over the years, easy to forget that roms don't magically appear for people to create layouts.   If I could dole out a 'Contributor Award' I would :)

Thanks for the info.   No real harm done but couldn't they have just uploaded the rom from their actual account.

Don't follow the thread if you don't like this type of WIP, some members are enjoying it.   Maybe there should be a lengthy wip rule on the forum :)

Looks fantastic fella.

I think people might wonder about your identity as the other guy in question was very passionate about creating fme layouts. This was some many years ago.

I'd say almost everyone else couldn't care less who you are as like warecity said, you are creating something here for people to enjoy, for free. Don't let them put you off, you can actually switch these users to ignore and vice versa for them.

I know what you mean though Vecs, like the emulator detects the type of alpha and selects reversed if required.   Not a major issue though as Tommy points out, it's good to have to actual do some configuring as it's how we learn more about the software we are using.  Mfmev6 seems to be a major update with lots of little things you might not notice at first.

I was playing S5 machine and the lamps looked like they were fading once they'd been lit.  Not sure if it is just my eyes.  But it looks amazing.
