Mummy Money and Extra Ball Bingo seem to be the better games on these machines, although I've been stung by both before.

And I gave up the gambling now as it was just money in money out money in money out I was never in front :)

In Topic: New £70 Fruitys

I play £70 Barcrests quite often at my local bingo club as I used to be a £500 S16 addict but find the £70ers seem to offer a lot more in terms of payouts (For example I can put a £20 in and take £70 on £1 stake, in the end it means I come out with more than I would if I stuck £100s in a S16. In fact yesterday I found Rainbow Riches POG on £70 had a repeat feature, which amazingly repeated 3 times for a total win of £210 after £10 in).

But I'm not saying it is a guaranteed winner by any means...I once stuck around £140 in one and went away with nothing, since I kept gettng small wins and playing them back in! (When you put in double what 1 jackpot would pay you're an idiot!)

I think the disclaimer at the start of every game mentions 'Random' but also 'May be influenced by previous play'. Although I pay bugger all attention since I've won £70 2 spins in a row a couple of times.

At the end of the day though, would have been better staying well away!

Makes me feel good about chucking a £500 JP back into machines the day after winning it once in my dark days :biglaugh:

There is some local 'resident expert' of Rainbow Riches in one of the local arcades.

Always bragging about how much he's won etc etc but I spent 3 hours odd in there once and he didn't put a single pound coin in the machine :biglaugh:

Also funny how people sat on either side of you are glued to their machines then as soon as you win big start small talk with you!

So far it sounds like you are basing your opinions on how much money you won and how lucky you are.
If you're judging an amusements, you should take into account how nice the staff are(Thomas's in Hunstanton gets an F here), how well run it is, IE not having "favourite" customers that get to know all the takings and what's worth it, good food, if a machine goes wrong, do the staff say you did it? or do they come and help you? Always nice to win, but make sure the arcade has been hospitable when you are there, and when you leave they dont say YOURE BARRED!

Sorry I didn't mean to sound like that, just in a stunned state as to the events of today really!

The machine in the train station went wrong tonight as it tried to pay out the £500 in pound coins and the hopper got jammed, the staff were very helpful with that and didn't blame me, although there were a bit stunned to see all the pound coins in the tray!!! It wouldn't be somewhere I spent long sessions at on a regular basis though as they didn't seem to offer free drinks / snacks (Which I can understand due to the passing trade location), and people kept coming in just to watch you play the machines which is very offputting!
