on this front opener rich geezer there is a white cherry door switch located between the locking bar and the lock on the top door, make sure the bar is slid right across.
locks can be got from ebay (cheaper than select amuesments) for half the price.
Ah i saw this bar thing. Yeh it is in the middle of its slot but seemed quite solid.
So I could just drill out the lock I have no key for? Has it got security stuff on it or just a simple lock? I mean would it render the machine unusable untill i fitted the new lock?

And if you could find me an ebay auction for the right sort of replacement lock?
