I have been sold a faulty fruit machine on ebay (was told fully working)

The coin hopper is broken totally (spent the whole of today looking at previous threads on here and have had no joy)

So basically where can i buy a new hopper and how easy are they to install. Like does it come with wires and the bit of mdf on the bottom etc etc.

This is my first fruity and don't want to fall at the first hurdle.

The machine is a Barcrest - Arabian Nights

Thanks in advance

Joe, I suggest you contact the seller and get them to sort it mate or ebay's customer service's if there's no joy there.

Enjoy FME though, glad to see you joined for the right reasons lol

1st of all welcome to fruit-emu

if the machine was stated on ebay as fully working then i would contact the seller to resolve the matter. also contact ebay under items not as described policy.

the hoppers are very easy to replace/change. bazpeep maybe able to help with a replacment hopper if required.

Thanks guys Im going to PM baxpeep as he seems to know loads about hoppers after reading these boards.

As for the seller he is adament it was working for him but i know hes lying, but the thing is I don't really want to return I just want it to work!!

I will be leaving him negative feedback though.

The reason I think the hopper is faulty is becausee it works fine until i try to collect a win.

Then i get the pound hopper jam alarm.

So I then empty the hopper, reconect and alarm goes away.

Carry on playing then when i win again it happens again!

Hopper just makes a whirring sound. When i have had the hopper out ive tried to rotate it but it only moves a tiny bit.

I'm no expert, but my hopper did exactly that.

I got one off bazpeeb (TOP BLOKE) and replaced mine, problem solved.

I looked at my old hopper, took it apart, and two bolts that hold the motor in place had worked loose, had I of tightened them up , and reseated the motor, it would of been fine. Looks like someone forgot to put a pair of anti-vibration washers on it.

Baz flogged me the guts of a pukka hopper for £20 inc postage, sweet deal.

Try this first and see if that helps, if not its 'hopper time' hehehe.

best bet stotes is to PM baz mate as he may miss a posting that you make, you can be assured that you will get a 101% service from this guy..........believe me of all the supplied bits made on here i've NEVER seen a negative.

Also theres some pretty good follow-up that i've read.
