Never heard of a Money Trail on the Impact platform..... did you mean Money Talks, because if so, we deffo do have roms for that.

No, it is definitely a Money Trail by Crystal.

Can't remember who, but certain members on here have the roms, but cannot emulate it at present
because of the security encryption and CHR problems.

I know Amber is the emulator to do it, but have no idea where we are in regards to that????

Does anybody know if Guitar has sorted the problems within Amber yet?

Haven't heard from him for a while.

It's amazing really, I have mentioned Crystal Money Trail to SO many people and yet so many have never heard of it.

Starting to look like a very rare machine, I don't know of one ANYWHERE IN UK

Ewwwwwwwwwwww, another pig of a machine by those animals @ Crystal, like my Big Bucks is.

All I can suggest is, make sure you use the EXPORT version of the memory card (Assuming it runs on Impact), NOT the UK one, as that could be what is screwing the sounds up.

I've sold my last two machines :

Bell Fruit Showtime (£70 jackpot with note acceptor) and
Bell Fruit Random Spinner (B3 £1 play £500 jackpot with note acceptor)

Showtime was boring as hell on £70 jackpot, and it soon became apparent I couldn't make it play better. Basically it was impossible to get certain features. Getting Mega Streak was impossible (or incredibly unlikely) without the machine being invincible... and it kept buggering up my attempts to force it by throwing in £25 / £40 Cash or Busts. I was in the process of dropping it down to £35 jackpot (required a new PIC chip from Bell Fruit), but decided it would be simpler to just sell it and try something else.

Random Spinner was also boring as hell. The top wheel rarely gave 3 figure amounts, instead almost all the large wins / jackpots I got were from gambling red or black on cash wins. I was going to keep it and use it as a note changer, since it had £900 float capacity and a good note acceptor, but decided that was a silly idea so it had to go.

... and I've ended up with a Bar X Ten :)

It was on £25 BAR and £10 XXX, I've now dropped it to £5 BAR and £1 XXX (using Super Red Bar decals), 20p play and 84% payout... and it's a good laugh! I mean it's simple, but it's good fun. On £5 / 20p it's offering a nice fast game with some reasonable streaks :)

It's a bit of a shock having one of these... coming from normal Scorpion 4/5 or MPU5 hardware, this is ridiculously simplistic. The only lamps on this machine are in the buttons, and the nudge lights. All the other lighting is done by fluorescent tubes (one above and below the reels, two in the top glass and presumably another one or two in the belly glass).

It's in good nick too, although in the photo it's got quite a few fingerprints on it :)

I'm definitely in the market for another machine... I'm thinking a clubber? That way I'll have a nice, simple, low-stakes machine for casual investments, and a clubber for if I fancy a challenge (i.e. spend a few hours in the garage with some beers trying to punt a jackpot out) :D

Updates to my machines :

Have a Chuzzy kit coming for the Bar X. Will allow me to use my preferred £8 BARs and £2 XXX winplan. Also should make for some 'intereting' streaks :D

I've also ordered a clubber. I've gone for Club Clouseau, because it's been in a local club for ages. I used to play it all the time, dad still plays it. It's been in there for about 18 months now - they removed it and replaced it with something crap, all the regulars (myself included) refused to play the new one, so they brought Clouseau back :D

Lost count of how many IMs I've had on it, and as long as I kept an idea of how it had been played between my sessions, I normally did well of it! :)

I'll probably leave it on a light setting, In the club it's on 10p/20p for £100/£250, but I fancy leaving it set on 10p / £100 :)

Only paid for it today, got to sort out Speedlink to collect it from the seller and bring it to me, so probably won't be here for a couple of weeks :)

Yes, but the tech is not emulated by the public versions of any emulator.

I was temped by an It's Amazing recently, but I specifically wanted it with the £35 decals. I've gone off £70 jackpot machines for home use, after my Showtime!

I forgot to include machines I've previously owned - why I sold my Monty Python and Spiker the Biker I'll never know!!! :) :

AWPs

Showtime (Bell Fruit Games, Eclipse cabinet, Scorpion 4) - £70 Jackpot
Monty Python's Flying Circus (Barcrest Genesis cabinet, MPU5) - £5 / £25 Jackpot
Austin Powers (Barcrest Tall Genesis cabinet, MPU5) - £5 / £25 Jackpot
Spiker the Biker (Barcrest Genesis cabinet, MPU5) - £15 / £25 Jackpot
Life's a Beach (Red Gaming, Barcrest Tall Genesis cabinet, MPU5) - £5 Jackpot
Impulse Hurricane (Maygay front opening cabinet, I've forgotten the name, EPOCH hardware) - £5 / £25 Jackpot

SWPs

Top of the Pops (Bell Fruit Cobra 3 hardware) - £10 Jackpot
Cluedo (JPM Impact video hardware) - £10 Jackpot

Club / Random

Club Crazy Fruits (Bell Fruit Games, Smiley cabinet, Scorpion 4) - £75 > £250 Jackpot
Random Spinner (Bell Fruit Games, Casino cabinet, Scorpion 5) - £500 Jackpot

I was so tempted to get one on that setting, but ended up with a Bar X... only because it was a convenient trade, and I was intrigued by Bar X. Once I've got it working again I'll be happy with it, I kinda broke it. Still, shouldn't be too hard to fix, worst is that I've buggered the mainboard :D

I do quite like those Union Games machines, and being Barcrest MPU4 hardware (at least I presume they are?) they are nice and easy to maintain :)

If you decide to sell the B3 in the future, give me a shout - I'd LOVE to be able to play Holy Grail or Rainbow Riches (either B3 or C/D) :D

I don't play BarX at all... or any other the electrocoin family (except club bar x -three player/super reels) find them boring really.... Never the less, shouldnt be too hard to fix, not, but good luck with that. Ive certainly broke a few machines in the past, all part of the experience if you ask me

Anybody ever owned a Money Trail by Crystal?

As some of you will know on here, I have been after this one for about 10 + years now and haven't seen one

in an arcade or heard of anyone owning one.

Be interested to hear from people who have had one, or knew the last whereabouts of one.
