Thanks wizard, what's the actual difference between the ones in the layout and these. And are these for the top box and slave units

Those are for the slaves and get rid of the startup error
Also remember you should only include one set of Sound ROMs in a .gam file

As for sound files say a rom file like this one originally has upto say 8 sound bin.files how would you know which ones are needed and which ones aren't?

In general it's either one or a pair which will be consecutively numbered. Usually a total of 1M Byte or 2M Bytes
