Well, with my limited experience within MFME, these are my favourites for Fun, Looks and Sound so far.....

The award for the best sound in MFME goes to... (drum roll)....

Pook!! For his dx'cellent "Super Nudge Gambler" (http://www.fruit-emu...dge-gambler-dx/)

You can hear every click, clack, whir and tick. Amazing!

The award for the best looks in MFME goes to ..... (another drum roll.... and maybe a couple of fireworks...... )

Vectra666!!! For "Monopoly Hot Property" (£35 jp) (http://www.fruit-emu...roperty-l35-dx/)

An absolutely flawless machine.

And finally... the award for the most fun in MFME goes to.... (another seen where the drummer went?)....

TommyC!!! for "Barcrest Rainbow Riches" (http://www.fruit-emu.../#commentsStart)

Really love the chirpy Irish voices and music that accompany this. You almost feel happy as it relentlessly strips you of your money!

A massive thanks to all our MFME contributors who make this scene such a special one!

So, that's it for another episode but thanks for tuning in and I hope to see you all again on another episode of "MFME Awards!"

(Fireworks..... sounds of a drummer being fired..... crowd screaming and cheering...... etc.....)

.

Thanks uptown but I'm fairly new in mfme terms! And imo there's far better layouts out there in the dusty old vaults in fme land.

So if you don't mind let's take this topic further.
What's The people's choice with the three categories you've chosen
So what's other members choices for-

A. Best sounds in a layout
B. Best looking layout
C. Best fun to play layout

And finally D.
your most played layout with any fruit machine emulator.
The more I do today, The less I do tomorrow.
Fme is alive and screaming into the 21st century!
Enjoy FME and Happy Gaming!!!!

Great idea mate!! Yep, my most played is the Andy Capp that I converted to Angie and John!! (So that'll just be one vote for that then!).

To be fair, all those sounds are part of MFME itself and are in the default sounds directory. They were specifically added for EM emulation.

Hot Dog club uses them also.

Warning: This post is mostly my own opinions and may contain irony, if you are obsessed with PAST history you may want to ignore it.

And, ladies and gentlemen, we've had a late challenger for "Best Sound"...... (drum roll please...... oh... sh*t we sacked him....... oh well nevermind...).... it's our very own WIZARD for MFME itself!!!! (crowd goes wild!!!!!!!)

:) :)

my top 3 are as follows..... best looking has to be Super Nudge Gambler by Pook - sheer class in every way ;)

best sounding i would have to say Del`s Millions... for the sheer OFAH nostalgia factor :D

for me the most fun to play layout would have to be cops and robbers on the £10 JP

the one i tend to play the most us ToddyUK`s version of Razzle Dazzle..this was the layout that first introduced me to FME ....aaahhh it all seems so long ago.... :D

Einstein`s theory of FME 90 downloads = 3 thanks

There are far, far, far too many, cracking looking layouts to pick a best looking DX. Sound wise, well again too many decent sound packages on machines to say. For nostalgic reasons, the bleeps and bloops from the MPS2 and MPU3 era of machines stick in my mind.

I've in the past probably been more associated with wanting to see current techs and yes I'd love to see an MPU6/Scorpion 6 emulator in the future, but my most 2 machines played, which I do return to, time and time again several times a year are 2 MPS2 machines, FastTrak and SupaTrack, both cracking DX's and machines I loved back in the day.

I have 3 favourite machines, which are the Pete Walton Line Up DX, the Tommy C / Ploggy joint release of Fruit Chaser / Snappa and the Pandy whatever alias he had at the time when he released his last rendition of Exchanges Unlimited in 2013.  Not my most played, which goes to Lucky Strike Club and Razzle Dazzle, but they were more to prove a point than enjoyment purposes.

not played much emulation for a while (wonder why lol)

but mine are

A. best sound goes to partytime, hearing this on a laptop within a working multi player for the first time was a milestone in mfme history

B. best looking now there's a hard one to choose as there's so many from the likes of pook, dad, retrofruit , ploggy tommy c and many many more

C. Roller Coaster as a totally entertaining machine, always was always will be.

D. Most Played, Again a very hard choice but the likes of Andy Capp, Cash Counter and my favourite Take Two are up there in my top three.

With mfme5 almost a year old there's been lots of new talent coming through and long may it continue.

Again i've said it before but Big thanks must goto Wizard for his knowledge and his wonderful emulators and to the resource gathers as without these there'd be no fme!
