Something I never dared do back in my addict days, but off to Vegas for 10 nights. Been 11 months from booking to finally going, so seemed like an eternity.

Looking forward to not being restricted to a dozen slots like in the UK casinos, as well as a few drinks of course.

Probably come back a stone heavier as well.

I hope you have a great time on all the pokies... I like a go online, but the casino floors in the USA are something else - you'll love it - just spend wisely! ;) x

Cheers off tomorrow

My 2nd time and last time we only took out what we were willing to lose each day and no cards. Also gamble when sober and only gamble once a day, i.e only daytime or evening.

The hotels are so far apart that if you run out of cash it's not just a 2 minute walk to get more, so that pretty much stops any silly losses.

If you're nearly out of cash, play the slots at very low stakes, because you still get free alcohol, well 2 dollars tip to the waitress for a couple of beers anyway.

EDIT... yep a few shows and most hotels are the size of a Butlins holiday camp, so you walk around 2 or 3 and take it all in. That takes up a lot of the holiday as well.

Have a go on the Walking Dead 2 slot if you find it, seen some big wins on that even at 75 cents a spin.

Have a great time!  I f*****g love Vegas me.  Been twice this year and have already booked another 8 nights in February.  Don't go mad on your first night - pace yourself and take it all in :)

Watch out! There's a SIG thief about...

Nearly halfway through and I haven't done all my dough yet. Started off with a budget of $450 a day, now split up, I've roughly $600 a day, so hopefully bring a bit back.

Had a couple of progressive jackpots the most being £568 for a 50 cents spin, on a Gremlins machine. Silly though how the machines, make such a song and dance about winning $3 off a set of free spins or a pick bonus, on a $1 bet. Seen the Walking Dead 2 machine, but not played it yet. Not had too many pisstakes, but if I lose $200 very quickly, then that's that, I don't chase.

Weather has been in the high  80's or 90's, so lots of beer required, definitely too much yesterday, now 8.45am and feeling it today.

Probably because the pound is shite, but everything seems to be expensive food and drinks wise, wherever you go, even some of the low end casinos and bars, want about £5 for a bottle of beer. Most we've paid is about £9.

Coming towards the end of the trip, flying back overnight Wednesday into Thursday.

Bit of a washout gamble wise, no real wins, just a lot of losses. Still got more than my daily budget for last couple of days, but doubt I'll come back with much if any at all.

Wonder Woman slot probably the biggest piss take and lots of machines which look fun, but ultimately contain small wins 99/100.

Some of the older slots, don't look great, but seem to have the biggest potential for a big win.

Oh well off for a breakfast beer.

Well I'm back and things didn't get any better gamble wise unfortunately.

Had a go on the Walking Dead 2 machine and it was one of the better machines I played. A lot of great graphics and sounds to attract the player on many machines, but bigger than 10x stake wins few and far between.

The reward card for the casinos wasn't bad though, between the 3 of us we got £100 of credit for food and drinks and got £600 + back on resort and mini bar fees.

Still love Vegas and already looking forward to going again, sometime in the future.
