I was playing Nudge Nudge Wink Wink earlier and noticed that if I just left the machine alone, after 5 or 10 minutes, 20 credits appeared on it?!

First time I saw it I wondered if they'd been there all along but I'd not noticed them.

So I played them through, won a few quid and then left the machine alone. Sure enough, about 10 minutes later another 20 credits appeared.

Weird eh?

Not sure if it's a small bug in the game or I need to get Derek Acorah in?

:)

I think it's a tenner. I'm in my pit at the moment but I'll check tomorrow. I'm going to have to check if it happens with other machines too. :)

Is this on your MFME cab? Faulty IPAC? or something pulsing the '0' key? Just a wild stab in the dark  :cute: but with the other issue you have been having....?

Yep I was thinking along the same lines. I'm wondering if it's a USB problem at the PC end as my lights went funny the other day as well. Will do some experimenting with other games and see if they all behave the same. I've certainly not noticed it on any others though. And it's always 20 credits. Never more or less. Strange one :)

Hi Vectra, it's the £6 version by Ploggy. I've just set the cabinet up with Jackpot Jokers and I'm going to leave it half an hour and see what happens.

If I don't get any phantom credits then I'll go and put Nudge Nudge back on and leave that. Be interested to know if it goes up more than 20 credits if I leave it longer or if the problem is "cured" (in which case it must be a PC / USB / iPac type fault).

Will report back....... :)

Right... I left it with Jackpot Jokers on for a good while and nothing happened.

I put Nudge Nudge Wink Wink on. As soon as it booted up it had 20 credits on it. I played them through (£4.20 won! :) ) and then left it.

Came back over an hour later and another 20 credits sat there.

I'm reckoning it's a bug in that game. Will maybe try a different one?

Yeah I can replicate this on my machine.  It takes about 10 minutes on mine to credit up with 20 credits.   How bizarre.  Will check it in an older version of mfme.

It hasn't done this so far in mfme 2.1.

That's interesting. Maybe there's a small bug in 5.1 that's causing it??

Maybe Wizard will know. It's not a major problem at all. I'll just download one of the other versions and see if they are ok.

Thanks vectra. Will have a look this weekend. Was playing your Pots of Gold earlier. Sterling work there (as always). I tried the £25 and the £35. Think I prefer the £25. Only had twenty minutes on them but they looked brilliant. Look forward to having a proper play at weekend :)

Just tried it, my end, and I'm getting the weird 20 credit thing on the £6 DX as well.  The glitch is also on the £6 classic, so it looks like a rom problem to me, because It doesn't glitch on the £4.80 version.  Very odd.  No idea what's causing it.  Chris would need to investigate it further.

Here's another £6 rom that seems to work fine.  No 20 credit problem, thus far.  You'll need to either load the rom via MFME's 'ROM Loader', or just change the name of the rom in the '.gam' file to match the new rom name.  Doing this will make the old ram file redundant, so it will be like a fresh start.  So remember to clear the ram so the stats are correct.

.... strangely it doesn't happen when using v2.1.  So must be a bug in the later mfme.  Wonder if any more games are affected.  How very bizarre.   Would have been great if it did it in real life ;)

That's great Ploggy. I've done that and it seems to be working a treat!

A kind of miss my free goes though... as Fuzion says, it would have been great if they did that in real life.

Thanks again for all your help with this Ploggy (and also all your fantastic builds!).

No, it's actually a bug in v2.1 which masks the issue. There is a bug in this version of NNWW, you can avoid the issue by setting the % to 82 or less.
