This is one for Wizard. It's a tiny bug I've found to do with the PacDrive feature.

If I set up a lamp on my second board (ID#2) then it still seems to flash the equivalent lamp on board 1.

So, I have my Higher lamp on position 7 on board #2. But when the Higher lamp actually flashes, it seems to flash position 7 on board #1.

I have heard that all the PacDrive functionality is being looked at as part of the 5.2 release so I'm guessing this particular bug has already been squashed.

But just thought I'd mention it just in case.

(By the way, please don't think this is me picking faults. The MFME software is absolutely superb. I just thought you'd want to know :) )

When you bought the pacdrives, did you request an ID 1 unit and an ID 2 unit? Just checking

Yep they have IDs on them (well they came with stickers on saying they did). And when I'm on ID 2 and press the "test lamps" button the right lamp lights up (and on ID 1 with Test Lamps different lamps light up). So I don't think that's the issue? Also I don't think it allows you to select a different numbered pacdrive if it doesn't detect it (but might be wrong about that).

Thanks for the suggestion though as it certainly could just be something I'm doing wrong. :)

Just looked at the machines I have set up with lamps.

For my ID1 lamps, I used the first column ('Lamp 1') Under board ID 1

For my ID2 lamps, I used the second column *'Lamp 2') Under Board ID 2

They all work fine on mine with that setup. give it a try

Thanks No1. I'll give this a go (hopefully tomorrow). It's all a bit chaotic today (grand-daughter's birthday party).

Thanks again :-)

Genius!!! (As always!!) Worked a treat. I always thought that the second column was for lamps that sometimes go 'red' (like super features etc). But, this is working a treat now so I'll just use that.

Thanks again :-)

It might be for that, I'm not sure if they way we have done it is the correct way or a bug, maybe if Wizard reads he could clear that up for us  :cute:

Either way, for now, its working

Yep, I've only got the 2 pacdrives anyway so this workaround will be a godsend.

Cheers

In regards to the column thing, on my machine some buttons have a dual function. Like my hold 3 is also a HI button so what I do is have the hold lamp in column 1 and the HI lamp in the column next to it. But if I just want the HI lamp to go of it's on it's own it's also in a another place. Does that make sense? I think that's what the 2 columns are for? As some buttons have 2 lights and 2 functions?

So could be a bug?

Just an idea?

Yeah I think it's a bug, should be fixed in the next release
