thanks for the reload.  Here are some instructions to help mass convert the files to usable format for mgalaxy

 

How to convert screen shot to the right format for mgalaxy

 

Need to convert .jpg to .png

Need to remove the _1

RECOMMEND you create a back up copy of all your files before you try this

 

1. Open the file where all the screen shots are located, Copy the path in the explore search bar
2. Paste into google chrom search bar (this will produce a list of all the files)
3. Ctrl+A (will select all the files names)
4. Ctrl+C (copy all files)
5. Open excel
6. Ctrl+P paste the list of all the files
7. Delete all columns except the file names, column A
8. Select column header (will highlight all file names)
9. Ctrl+C (copy column)
10. Select column D
11. Right click paste special, values
12. Delete column A (this will change the column the name are in to column C)
13. Click sheet on bottom and right click, then chose move or copy, click box next to copy, ok (Create a copy that column on to a new sheet, sheet 2)
14. On sheet 2, Ctrl+F (find/replace)
15. find“_1” and  replace “no text” this will remove the _1 from all the titles
16. Find “.jpg” and replace “.png” (this will replace all .jpg with .png)
17. Copy and paste the column containing the new names, 2PCASH_NUDGER. png to sheet 1 column “I”
18. Enter the following in each column A=rename, B=”, C =original name, D=”, E= no text, F=”,G= new name, H=”
19. For column I need to use the concatenate formula it wil look like this for row 4, =CONCATENATE(A4," ",B4,C4,D4," ",F4,G4,H4)
20. Column I now contains the text to create a batch file
21. Highlight all the cells you want to copy, Ctrl+C (copy all the cells containing the file names you want to convert)

 

Create a batch file

1. Open note pad
2. Ctrl + P (paste all the names)

rename "2PCASH_NUDGER_1.jpg" "2PCASH_NUDGER.png"

rename "5pReady2Rumble_1.jpg" "5pReady2Rumble.png"

3. File, Save as, enter a file name.bat  and you must change the save file type from .txt to all file types
4. Save created batch file in the folder that has all the .jpg images
5. click the newly created batch file, all your screen shots should be rename and in the right format to use in mgalaxy
