Currently working on the £5 classic of king kerching and I though I would make some pictures to go with it should I keep this to myself or release it as Custom DX?

you cant yet you'll have to wait,

back to the original question some  classic layouts look good with a personalized background but i'd personally leave it the blank colour whether it be the standard white or different colour 

but you're the creator so its upto you!!
