That's probably the best bet as you seem to have completely failed to grasp the points mentioned and the solution offered.

 

I've grasped the points and it's not a viable solution for me.  I'm sure you can allude to that..suggested solutions etc etc.

Hi would just like to enquire why the fme dats thread was locked? From what i can see no proper solution has been reached! I thought we were past this petty behaviour of locking threads when mods or admin don't like what there reading. It does no good and just pisses members off, i think it should be unlocked until a decent solution has been found, thanks.

I 100% agree with this we're all adults with a passion for FME and when should be able to talk with passion without threads being locked

Never agreed with individuals locking threads. Have read the posts and I can say I wouldn't be too happy with my creator details being removed either. Why do people think they have the right to do this?
As for Reg, I have sent him a few roms now to create layouts for. He has always afforded me credit for supplying them.

A solution was made. Both sides had their say and the layout dats will no longer be worked on.
Or would you prefer the thread descended into a free for all argument with potential harm done to the scene?

Actually what stinks is that he was removing the original authors credit from the layouts he's redistributing, and the reason no one has complained is that they didn't know.

 

As I'm not a layout author, I don't personally care, and it's obvious that you not being a layout creator don't care either.

As someone who started his first layout about 3 weeks ago (yes, I know it's taking a while but I want to get it right) - for the dat purposes, I don't really care either lol

No ones explained to me yet why we are up in arms about it.

Forget it, I can sense a pointless old history lesson coming. One of the things you just can't let go.

 

The difference is that this issue is current and you just continue to rake over the old coals.

There's an obvious danger that this thread will just rattle on in the same way that the subject post was doing.

I don't imagine that any useful resolution will be achieved, and as Geddy has already stated that he will no longer be doing the thing that has caused the issue in the first place, I don't see the point in continuing this "exchange of views".
